I have only the Cox Ford GT in 1/24 scale in my collection.
Here as well is Cox's offering of the very iconic Cheetah in 1/32 scale:
A Cox Cheetah is very close to the top of my slot car Want List.

My vote goes for NOT allowing vacuum bodies.

Here are a couple of classic Grand Prix racers from the 1960's that Monogram issued in 1/32 scale:

1) my intention was to post clear bodies
2) my other intention was.... with good reason....
Censored.
3) The hard bodies 😉 that I have need to be cleaned up 😬. And also, I don't have the original boxes.
So, with that being said, here comes the judge.

Clear clear bodies, painted clear bodies, or both?
I intend to live forever! So far, so good.

I like only hard bodies. Body paint on these looks fabulous albeit I understand that subsequent cleanup may then be required.
So here is Revell's offering of the very iconic XK-E Jaguar GT in 1/32 scale:

After following this thread, why not two separate threads, one for vac formed bodies, in all states of completion, and one for the plastic bodies, from slot car kits and static models made into slot cars? There seems to be a solid divide between the two schools of thought.

The ones that I have are clear, with the exception of the 444 P-4 (previous thread).

Do what you want. I stopped buying factory painted clear bodies in '69. I started airbrushing my own in the fall of '69 or spring of '70.

Keep it in mind that it's limited to the 60's. They really did happen, didn't they?

When the clear vac formed bodies first came out, I painted mine on the inside with a brush. That was the original intent, so that those builders not adept at spraying could get a sprayed-on appearance on the outside because the clear of the body acted as a clear coat of paint. If you had a steady hand, no masking was needed. But when metallics came out, they didn't brush well, and everyone eventually adopted spraying on the inside.

I do not have much in the 1/32 department, but I did race my Mini Sprint at BP 1/32 slot club. Once.
It is painted with Humbrol enamel metallic, my race color.
Yes, you have to be quick, and put it on wet.
I restored this car many years ago. It had cracks top to bottom, it was so bad I almost thought about tossing it. So glad I did not.
It has a Champion motor. Hence Champion equipped hand lettered by the 15 year old me.

I am working on a real 1/1 Mini at Joe's this week. This was restored approximately 20 year ago and first built 1969.
Don't you love those Champion wheels with the blind hub cap?
