The body is finally finished and ready to become one with it's skinny chassis with tall tires:

I love those MESAC style fat treaded front tires:

That's a lot of yellow:

Nothing like 4 dual choke Weber carburetors sticking out above the bodywork:

There is the cool single coil over front shock:

Hmmmmmmmm............I should compare this scale version to the low and wide Pro car version............

Just stunning! And the intake trumpets look even better than I imaged.  :good:

Thanks guys.    :)

Here's the comparison of the scale car and a late 1968 Pro car handling body version I promised.

The scale car is on the left in all the pics:

Great build and thanks for taking the time to show comparison pics. :clapping:  :good:  :sun_bespectacled:

Will you be doing a lap time comparison also? I am interested to have a better idea on how much time you give up and your driving impressions to have scale looking cars.

I want to do a comparison of the low and wide and scale body Honker I'm building now also.

I wish I could do a track comparison on Eddie's (now gone) tracks. He had a technical flat road course and a big fast Blue King. Lap times are important but I'm really more interested in if the scale versions fun to drive than in how fast they are.

Agreed lap time is only one factor, the feel is what I am mostly interested in.

I only got to go to Eddie's a few times. I can still smell the tobacco smoke  :wacko2:
