They used some great race cars in this movie Spinout.

 

I really like this video clip of some great cars and though the title states "full movie" - it's actually 5 minutes of viewing:

 

 

This is what I gleaned from searching info on the #9 race car Elvis was driving in this race scene:

 

In the film "Spinout," Elvis Presley drives a McLaren Elva M1A sports car, specifically one with the number 9, in a race. The car was actually Bruce McLaren's first production car. The movie uses the car for racing scenes. The racing scenes were filmed at Paramount Ranch Raceway

Number 5 is the McLaren Elva. Number nine is a Troutman and Barnes Special. The girl is driving a Ferrari 250GT cabriolet. The white car is, of course, a Cobra.
