I like to make noise. This is my latest noise generator, a 2019 Gibson Explorer in Antique Natural finish:

 It's weird being the same age as Old People.

A popular ax, Mike. I always liked that the machines were laid out on an angle, and the knobs were on top. And you kept the cobalts instead of changing to humbuckers like everyone else. 

 

I was always partial to the Les Paul. Had a couple of those. But my main workhorse was the Stratocaster. For bass, the Precision and a 5-string Jazz. Sadly, it is time to sell off the collection. My arthritic hands don't work the way they need to anymore.

 

Seems to be a movement towards seven-string guitars. Not sure I understand that.

Dave, those pickups are the stock humbuckers, although they have since lost their covers.

 

I've never bonded with any of my 25-1/2" scale guitars.

 

I hear ya about the fingers.


 It's weird being the same age as Old People.
