The 2008-09 Ohio Challenge Cup Series race schedule
#1
Posted 20 October 2008 - 10:57 PM
Classes run:
GT 1 Class, a Parma 501 Sealed Deathstar Motor that is owned and well maintained by the series President. Can`t be any easier. Show up, solder the motor in, race it, and we`ll take it back out. Each race the motors will be cleaned, oiled, and the fastest and slowest motor will be taken out to keep the racing even tighter. No one gets the rocket or the rock. Pretty fair we think.
Group 10, Stamped steel chassis, racer built motor
GTP, Stamped steel chassis, racer built motor, either D can Super 16D or C can Contender type motor.
All General, Technical, and Class Specific rules are the links on www.jandbraceway.com . On the rightside half way down the Homepage

The First Race of the Series is coming up Nov. 15th. We`ve had very good response and looks like we`ll have a good turnout. Just talked to a Racer named Thomas from Springfield, Oh. that`s going to make the trip north along with 3 family members. And looking to run all 3 classes. That`s 12 Entries alone. With good support from my local racers and the other 2 tracks in the Series we should crack 50 entries on the first race.

1: What's the Schedule for Saturday?
2: How much practice time will be available per class?
3: Do you think I'll have time to solder on a 10th, 64pitch pinion for my Group 10 on Saturday?

Store opens at 9:00 am for practice
11:00 am we`ll pic GT1 Motors and solder them in the car
11.30 GT 1 Race starts
1 hour Lunch with the track being on for practice after GT 1 Race
Gr 10 race right after lunch
GTP after Group 10`s
2: How much practice time will be available per class? Like I said above 2 hours before the races start and an hour during lunch
3: Do you think I'll have time to solder on a 10th, 64pitch pinion for my Group 10 on Saturday? I`m sure you`ll have time either before the races in the 2 hours of practice before GT 1`s or the hour lunch.
Thanks,
Bear

I've been doing a lot of digging into my Group 10, too. I think I found a few problems in the motor that killed me last time, plus I'm willing to bet that both my guide was set too high and the JK's were the wrong tire for your track that night Bear.

Check out the new videos Justin you`re a star...lol. You did a GREAT job in the middle as a marshal too.
Thanks for making the trip and I look forward to having you come again.

Haven't felt that good about a race in a long time, and I'm really looking forward to Route 93 because I haven't raced on a King since Hobbymasters was open!

Wish you could have made it, Justin. A good time was had by all. Larry stoped in from Speedway Slots and it's always great to see him too. Thanks to a combination of no work but plenty of school, I won't be able to make it down for this round Bear. I'm sorry and I was hoping I could improve on the 14th I pulled out the first time I was down at your place.
On the plus side, I'm doing really well in Intro to Logic and Intro to Great Books.
There's always next month at Larry's, hope to see you there. Great that school is going well.
Cheers!
