My only "would be" moan is that gnarly little squiggle section in one track.
Thanks for showing those pics.

And it is gnarly to drive but I can't wait to get there. My only "would be" moan is that gnarly little squiggle section in one track.

When Mike built that track, he built the squiggle section two-sided. One side runs straight, the other side has the squiggles. If I recall correctly, he can pull a couple pins and pivot that section from one side to the other, thus changing the track layout.
I intend to live forever! So far, so good.

It is a bit reminiscent of a track or two we had here in OZ, waaaaay back.
Whoa!!, check those squiggly bits!!
Hey bet no one ever falls off through there anyway... do they??!!!... ROFL.
Marshalling could get "gnarly' through THERE!!!... Eeek.

(L to R) Ralph Thorne, Jay Guard, Ken Swanson, Eddy MacDonald, and Jay Kisling.
(L to R) Allan Reeder and Ray Price.
(L to R) Dave Fiedler, Allan Reeder, Kyle Stokes, Jay Guard, Eddy MacDonald, and Kraig Beck.
Extra-large monitor mirroring the Lap Counter on the side of the mezzanine pits.
Some derelict...
Dave Liebenthal in the forground, with Dave Fiedler behind.
(L to R) Ralph Thorne and Jay Kisling.
Allan Reeder facing the camera and Jay Guard looking away.
Jay Guard in his pit. The stacked vintage boxes behind him are Cheater's and you can tell he's not racing because there isn't a pile of stuff in front of them.
Da Raceway Owner himself, doing something unknown and probably unmentionable.
Jim Hugger snagged the solo pit under the mezzanine.
Tex Hofer in a weirdly-distorted image. He's pretty weird even without the distortion. LOL!!
Jay Howard, one of many TX racers who made the trip north.
The sweet and lovely Jackie, Mike's new bride. Lucky man, that Swiss.

This is the "don't stand past the line" mark on the floor near the esses. The views from Red and White are totally blocked if someone stands up against the track.
Back at the hotel... my work continues. It's midnight.

For some weird reason, she won't either register or let me give her her own ID here at Slotblog and the main reason I don't like that is that it means she doesn't get the recognition she deserves. Lean on her for me, okay?

Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap

I see Dennis Samson in the crowd, best of luck Dennis, and good luck to all the racers - everybody have fun.

She probably doesn't want to be associated with or connected to you in any way, Cheater.I'm gonna spill the beans: virtually all of the pictures and videos posted here have been done by Shontel Howard, not Eddy.

I don't always go the extra mile, but when I do it's because I missed my exit.
All my life I've strived to keep from becoming a millionaire, so far I've succeeded.

No matter how big of a hammer you use, you can't pound common sense into stupid people, believe me, I've tried.

Thanks, guys. I know what it feels like to be at home, not only wishing you could be at the race, but also wanting to know how your friends are doing.
As you all know, Mike Swiss runs a tight ship. So it keeps the results typer and photo takers on their toes. Greg has worked himself to death.
We all love the sport.
I'm amazed that turnout is better than the Wing Nats turnout. Retro is hot!

Mac has collected autographs from slot racers all over the world in this book. This was the page for the Sano 2 racers.
