Dave used the same chassis for his second place GT-C car.

Dennis Samson had a car that ran 33 laps and was a force in the Flat track, Can-Am race. I'm pretty sure his was also a JK Spec race legal car.Dave's stuff was very good indeed.

Mr. Tex himself. This shot pretty shows the uniqueness to the King track's deadman. Only midgets or racers under 50 are allowed to marshall it. LOL...

Yes - it was the same car I ran in the Spec class Friday night, just different tires, that's all.
None of my own cars were quite as good, and I was way too tired most of the time to try getting them better. I had a good combination of speed and handling in the Spec car, so I just went with that for the Can-Am race, too.

FWIW, Ralph Thorne used Allan Reeder's JK Spec car to finish fourth in the Shoot-Out.
He had never been on a flat track before Thursday.

I told everyone who would listen to me (both of them...) that Ralphy's a heck of a slot racer and for once, it looks like I knew what I was talking about, eh?
He was even able to help the grizzled old veteran, Jay Guard, with tire choice for one class and I know Jay was very appreciative.

Same for the motors, right till the time the Sano started before the thread was closed. Then a Falcon won the biggest race.

And yes, I know his talent, not the car, was responsible for his win... but I would still like to see it.

And you will see more pics as soon as I can get them tweaked, organized and uploaded. In just car pictures alone, I took over 500 images and it takes a little time to process such a volume.
Just as with the first Sano, every car that raced will be shown in top and bottom shots.
I had hoped to make more headway on posting pics last night, but Slotblog's post SQL database got corrupted about 4:30 PM or so and it took until about 8:00 or so to get it repaired.
And I have a regular commitment on Thursday nights that will keep me from getting much done tonight. As soon as I get home Friday after work, I'll be working on posting pics and will be devoting Saturday and Sunday to finishing them up.

It is very simple and seems to work real well on either track. Along with his 10 lap win on the Flat track, he was second, one lap behind Jay Kisling, on the King.

Great job on the race Mike, you'll hook me yet.
Built one yesterday for grins after I saw the pics. Works & simple, too, to say the least.
Certainly validates the flex chassis designs Paul Sterrett has been running in D3 since the racing started in Cali.
Very reminiscent of the wire shuttle designs we were running in Int15 in the 80's & works very well, although the length is a little excessive for the big turns on my Engleman.
Don't know about the built in side dams on that body, looks like it might present the same problems as the Champion Shadow after it got more air control added... just how dominant was it in the races & is there anything else like it?

The O/S Ferrari 612 is also excellent and is a tiny bit shorter.

I posted some pics of the top and bottom, just not sure where.Next time he's in, I'll see if I can get pics of it with the body off. (I assume you've seen the bottom view in post #25.)
I do remember Cheater and I taking off the body for him to get a pic of the top of the chassis. I'm sure Greg will post when he finds it.

The O/S Ferrari 612 is also excellent and is a tiny bit shorter.
The part numbers are...

You are correct, sir. It does remind me quite a bit of the Jay Horn '89 Nats G27 winner.Very reminiscent of the wire shuttle designs we were running in Int15 in the 80's & works very well
I'm pretty sure Jay and Dan Green said their chassis were inspired by Gary Pearce from NY, who I'm pretty sure is currently racing ISRA style cars at Lou Pirro's and elsewhere.
