The guys that TQ'd and won this class at BPR I will put up against anyone in the world!!! Duran and Jonathan - these guys are GOOOD - and they both used the GTX chassis. I have one and it was just as fast as my Asp 4 chassis - I just used that one as it was good for about 1/10 quicker lap times as it had a better motor - and was just as easy to drive.

When Slick 7 has these chassis in stock as a kit, they are $41.00!! You can't beat that for the kind of speeds we're getting on the flat track. I've seen the GT12s running 3.4s - the only cars quicker were the full Euro cars at 3.1!! That's a LOT of bang for the buck!! This class will be a LOT of fun at BPR and will run every month!! Come play with us!!!

Tim

BTW, Mike, we voted as a group to allow bearings everywhere in the cars, not a lot of expense, and will help them run smoother. But I don't think it's necessary to compete! FWIW...

Bearings good! Less to maintain. I bet we get two races on a motor before a retrue.

OH YEAH, BABY!!! Picked up a new Third Eye controller from a friend - now you'se guys are TOAST!!! This "troller" is soo smooth, it'll make me 2 tenths quicker with both my GT12 and Euro cars!! That should put me solidly in the A Main with anyone!!!

3.9s out in white today just cruzin!!! Now If I can get my Euro motors back - I'll be ready to go!!

Someone asked if you should get "prebuilts" or the kits?? When I purchased my chassis, the kits were not available. I had to buy pre-builts and it was NOT worth it!!! BOTH of the kits - the ASP IV and the GTX - had to be completely re-built in order to work properly!! DON'T be afraid to take a soldering iron to them and be sure everything is squared up!!

My GTX is STILL a work in progress as somehow the original assembler put a "tweak" in my chassis that I have not been able to find - even with resoldering everything!! I had Al Chuck look at it briefly at the Boola race - and Steve Forsyth tried to help me also, because the GTX chassis were TQ and won the race - but mine was 2 tenths slower than the Asp IV!! Once Steve and Al worked on it, we got it down to the same times but I raced the Asp IV because it was more consistent. I've since got the GTX working but it is soldered solid in the front and flexes a lot like the Asp now - and Duran and Jonathan ran cars that had loose pans! So I'm not sure I'm getting the most out of the car!

I'd like to get a kit when they are ready, and build it myself to see If I can make a difference!!

Hey - where's the pic of the mod we can make?? Someone else mentioned he had a mod that would help them work better?

Hey can Tim Hould or Mike? give us the firm date for the next GT12/Euro race at BPR??

I THINK it's the Saturday the 17th - that would be the third Sat of the month - but It's not on the board at BPR.

Thanks,

Tim

Very cool!!! I just got off the phone with Steve Forsyth and they're planning on making the race!! We should have a good FAST field. I'm looking forward to it. I should have my Euro motor back by then I hope - and a couple of GT12 cars to play with.

Let's RACE!! :D
