I have the urge to build a F-1 A/W from back in the day I have pictures of these cars. But none with the body removed showing the top of the chassis, so I can copy it. Any help that you can give me would be great
Regards, Dave
P.S. Did you ever find them instructions for the Dynamic "Z" chassis kit

be a hell of a ride if the Vitter wants to see it.
Even today they have not made a A/W F1 never seen one. Philippe love to look in your closet one day.

Is this the one? It has some pretty interesting details on the topside.

Would an A/W such as this be what your looking to build?

The car got lost to eternity I am afraid... the only surviving pictures are the ones posted on the old Electric Dreams site. I dug them for you but will need to draw you a top view of what it looked like because it had a few trick bits.
The chassis was all .063" wire, the brass all .032".
The nose of the body was held solid on its front, while the back floated. It was a mistake as once I encountered traffic after easily leading the race, the front end was bent and after a second shunt I never recovered.
However if you mount the body conventionally, it makes quite an effective car. The motor was a Bill Steube S-25 of course (i was not a team member for nothing!) and the wheels, front and rear, were also the work of the Master, Bill Steube Sr. The vacuum formed engine and gearbox was made for me by Lloyd Asbury at MAC. They came from a mold of a Lotus 49 that was never produced. We do have the mold at the LASCM. The body was painted like Chris Amon's MS120, in French blue with yellow and red Shell decor, white top and wing, all hand lettered. I wish I still had it but someone wanted it more than I did then and it got away.
Of course, a Cosworth on a 1972 MATRA-Simca V12 is not quite correct, but what the heck.
It won Concours anyway and took pole position in that Circle T race, some consolation for my over-engineering of the body mount catastrophe.

Foamy you are correct on the style of car I was after. thank you, Philippe that's the one! It's just in the beginning stages, but I have always thought these cars were bitchin. I have the motor, wheels, gears, and all of the little stuff stashed in a box. Ya know one of them builds inline behind another one and so on dc-65x sent me some very nice photos of a Fly'n "A" chassis. He also told me that they are a blast to drive. Thank you also Rick.
Philippe, when I got on the E/D site and found the Matra body by MAC, it says limit one. is this true? I would like to get a few of them at one shot, so when I screw up painting one I have another one waiting in the wings. Or is this just a mistake on the web site?
Thanks Philippe!

Dave

Dave, heck if I know why there is a limit on the website (not my business...) but I am sure that you can buy as many as you want because i have seen that they are still plentiful in the inventory... If you leave me a few days, I will make a print of the chassis so that you have a good base to start. I am at the Temple today and tomorrow...

Philippe, please do make your plans of your chassis, when you have the time. DC-65X sent this clone of a fly'n "A" chassis to me today, so I can copy it It's beautifull Not too worry Rick, I'm building some rides right now. I just had to take a quick picture of your chassis, your chassis will live in that purple bag until the work bench is ready this week-end Thank you Rick ......
