Trying to restore a couple of HARD BODIED slot cars for a change of pace, recently acquired Cox Cheetah (thanks again Glenn) and a Monogram '55 Chevy.

The Cheetah will be ALL vintage parts except for the clear parts, and judging from posts elsewhere we'll be recreating a "TEAM MODIFIED" Cheetah.
The '55 Chevy will have vintage chassis and motor but will be using the "Bad Man" gasser model which is a direct descendant of their original slot car '55. It's even molded in a yellow color that somewhat mimics the original. Big decision being whether to detail the body or build it "out of the box" so to speak...any input is more than welcomed.



ps: still working on Mikey's 2e as well.

Hi pete, glad to see you building a few hard body cars! For the '55 Chevy, i like the model kit Badman version! And the Cox Cheetah- really looking forward to seeing how you restore that one! i think there are rero glass versions out there on Ebay, at least there are repro glass for various 1960s cars, you may be able to contact the sellers and see if they offer ones for the Cheetah. I say- make you own tho!

I just ordered the Cheetah clear parts from the ebay guy, and I hope to have the '55 Chevy done shortly.

Also, we finished up the posters today at Kinko's, I'll be putting them up tomorrow at the Race Place as they're open from noon 'til six.
