With the R4 in the books Id like to thank Greg for an outstanding job with the race reports... wayyyy better then Wing car racing coverage... and almost as good as Speedweeks at Daytona on TV.
I WILL be going next year for sure!
I hope that every has a safe trip back from the raceway
PS: I still want that pit box that looks like a hauler!

We arrived home at almost exactly 4 AM Atlanta time. The alarm goes off in three hours and it's off to work.
Just don't expect me to be able to do a lot of posting Monday night... LOL!!

Might be an interesting thing to scan. It'll certainly show how the race evolved.

This year's Can-Am final was to be dedicated to Chris Gallegos but it was not meant that would be the case going foward, though not out of any disrespect for Chris.
My apologies to all concerned for this misunderstanding.
It is certainly more appropriate that a perpetual trophy in Chris' honor be based on the West Coast.

The BPR racers are most appreciative of the R4's Can-Am race this year being dedicated to Chris.
At this year's Western States at BPR (this past weekend), it was unanimously voted by all racers in attendance to rename the Western States as the "Chris Gallegos Western States".
BPR has been host to the Western States for many years and Chris is definitely a big part of the longest running championship series in SoCal. Chris will not be forgotten.
Thanks to everyone at the R4 for keeping Chris in their prayers and thoughts.

I've got a pic of Jack himself to post when I find it, but here's some pics of his incredible concours entry.
Check out the detail: stacks, wiring, exterior mirror, screen in the hood vents, etc.
One does not often see an opening door on a Lexan-bodied slot car! Car was raced just as you see it BTW.
