These Stock Cars are a hoot. Jay Guard put it on us with his new Stock Car. His chassis is awesome and I hope he post a picture for all to marvel. Please note: I've seen it and it can't be copied .
In the Can-Am race Terry Kelly, Ralph Thorne, and Russell Cordle battled for eight heats and were never separated by more than a few laps. It was an exciting slot car race to watch (even if I did have to do it from a marshalling position). I was very proud of young Russell for his third place finish with a Warmack car that I built last year but never got around to racing.
Next month it's F1 and Can-Am on the Kingleman in Snellville, GA.

I should be able to get the event pics posted tonight, with top and bottom body off shots of the podium cars, including Jay's Stock Car.
Thanks again for the loaner. I need to keep in mind that line from one of the Indiana Jones movies: "Choose wisely..." LOL!!!

PS: Cheater, I'll mail you a car for the next race if you need one, LOL. I've been busy building, but no racing.
Obsessed is the word the lazy use to describe the dedicated.

First, some thrashing racers...
Ralph Thorne and Joe McIntosh busy at work.
A whole bunch of folks: Don Weaver in the front, with Johnny Hyatt, Greg Wells, and Jay Guard along the benches. The Sano-shirted Raymond Gonzalez is at the drivers panel, with Chris Barnes then Tommy Flythe in the background.
Get a picture! Cheater's actually working on a slot car!
David Liebenthal surveys the stock car action. Johnny Hyatt marshals on the left, with Bill Gore behind him.
Don, check your camera for red eye reduction setting. LOL!!! This is the Can-Am A-Semi.
And here ends the coverage for SERRA #13 at Cordle Model Speedway.
Our next event will be at Flashbacks in Snellville, GA, on May 16, 2009, where the program will include a racer appreciation banquet to be held in the tavern upstairs. Don't miss it!!
