She also had a one there for awhile, I think it was red, used to stop in to chat in the HOPRA days in the '70s, never did race on it, wasn't set-up for open class cars.
There were two of them in Muskegon that we raced on. Gary Rider had one there, but I think he repainted it.

Should we count any of the four, or are they gone? I only heard of orange and yellow. There is a blue one in a barn find "on internet" was that painted? Someone said they had serial #; were do I look for that?
Was the one in Stapletons set up for racing? What kind of times?
Thanks,

Also, I believe that Michigan HOPRA Pres., Scott Terry, used to have one. Although, I don't know if he still has it.
Finally, there was someone, making replica tubs (minus track). I don't know if they're still available.
At least we now know what I don't know!

Don't know about the tracks in Muskegon, Gary Rider is known to cruise this site, or check MidwestHOGeeks.
Don't know about times, ran 1 minute lap and section qualifying as I remember.

You could get one for approximately 25 dollars a month for approximeately 20 months. I think that was the fiqure I saw in an old slot cars mag earlier this evening. It was HO scale.

Doesn't NJ Nostalgia Hobbies have one? I know they used to.

The track was released by Aurora a little too late and, as today, the HO scale doesn't mix that well in a commercial shop.
The inside two lanes are nearly all 9 inch radius turns, middle two lanes are all 12 inch radius, and the outside are mostly 15 inch.
A very interesting track to drive especially with the lower speed HO cars.

I have a pretty heavy duty iron from my chassis building that works OK, but you could pre-heat the bolts with a torch. The solder works better on brass bolts, so I would recommend those. Wrap the wire around the head of the bolt to make a good mechanical connection as well as electrical. I also used plumber-type flux, and then make sure I clean it afterwards.
Anyway, that's how I did it.
