yea we do handout motor racing every month....I know the drill.... but its just crazy to me that these motors are going that fast......just an observation...no need to get bent out of shape about it....just saying i never had that bad of a motor

Who was getting "bent out of shape"? Did I miss something...

All we are saying is running Falcoons is what it is... Out of 100 motors in the box, a few were bad... real bad.

They are a $12.00 Asian motor. That said, reliability is ALWAYS going to be an isuue. And that is the reason folks who travel 10-14 hours, spend big $$$ on motels, food etc. are leary and shy away from racing toy motors in serious competition.

The Coupe race always makes for a good warm up race and getting in some additional race and track time. ;)

I've had that happen as well....3 laps and slung a wire. But I've also had one that I bought off the shelf, broke in by running laps for 5 minutes, then TQ'ed. Depends on if you get the 1% bad.

Besides, isn;t this way off topic? Posted Image

Have you bought 100 thus far in your hand out buys? 98% is a rather high percentage for most anything. I have bought about 15 FK motors so far, for different races and have had three go flat after 2-3 heats and just lay down. They didn't burn up or blow a wire, you just wouldn't want to use them in a race, the problem was, they were in the race and we were stuck wih them. LOL

When was the last time you went through almost 150 Falcons in about 2 hours? Considering the racers were gearing these for all the speed they could squeeze out of them (remember - the object here is to win)having only 2 motors returned to me with blown wire and 1 with a questionable "blob" of something on the arm is doing pretty good. Why are you trying to put a bad light on a race you didn't even attend?

Hey Mike........It's because.......That's how Justin rolls.....lol......After the races he does not attend he needs to fire up the keyboard with mindless crap..........If I heard it from one person, I heard it from ten, Where's Dirty Hairy? And it was NOT being complimentary..........put the spoon down and stop stirring the pot

Yeah, just think how serious/intense the competition would have been if those "folks" had shown up, instead of all those amateurs. :dash2:

I bought two motors, first one just ran slow and hot. No tricky stuff, bought it, oiled it, ran it on the power supply for a few minutes, put it in the car. Was complete garbage.

Second motor, same procedure, and it was good. I tested several of my used Falcons on Wednesday and Thursday with varying gearing combinations. In the warmup race a while ago I ran 9/28 and the motor lived, but of course lacked brakes after about 4 heats. This time I ran 8/26 to be a little safer and the motor lived. Brakes did go away a bit, but it ran strong throughout the race.

I'm sure you were trying to make some sort of a point, but as usual, your sarcasm got in the way...

Mr.Mcmasters dont take what i said personally...your right, ive never gone through that many falcons that fast...from what ive heard it was a great day of racing...it just sucks that the ASIAN motors are that bad!!!!!!

Sorry to point out something negative....maybe starting an alternate thread would have been a better way to point out how crappy those motors are???????

Uhh..you might want to know that some of the best retro guys there - Ralph Thorne, James Merriman, Jeff Lauterbach, are in in their 20s. I would suggest that you earn your right to comment and the only way to do that is to attend one of the events and see how good you are.
