I'm going to try and use one for a Div 3 Formula One chassis because they are about a 1/4" narrower than an standard 16D bracket.

Some of us are curious to find out how you will mount the FK motor in that big hole? :)

Just make a little brass plate and solder it on. :)

Would not it be simpler to purchase a BWA bracket? It would fit under the narrowest of F1 bodies . . . :)

This is a spacer in a Tamiya frame, but I'm not sure who the manufacturer was and it may be of some use.

It's a rough sketch (not as nice as Brian's), but enough to enable making one.

I do, and they are laser cut  304 grade stainless steel.
Easy enough to solder to.

Yep, it would be simpler but not as much in the spirit of Div 3. :)

OK, I had to change them a bit. Luckily, I had a stock 26D, and, also, a Champion 26D can with an REH endbell kit on it.

The nylon surounding the REH endbell is for a bronze bearing and is different (longer) than the original fake ball bearing one.

I had to slightly juggle the lengths of the two adapters to allow them to fit both style endbells.

Al, will this change overall length by very much? Not allowing it to fit in the Cuc center section brackets?

Why would it not be? :)

My way is more scratchbuilt and less store bought. :) Plus I need more space between the bracket and the inside of the wheel for what I want to do. I'd tell you what it is that I want to do, but then you know what I'd have to do to you and right now I can't afford a ticket to California.

You Div III guys need to start a new topic!

Who's forcing you to read this? Someone twisting your arm?

Can you come up with something better?!

BTW, if you are from Cleveland, you should know there's no Div III here!

No. Wouldn't be much sense making them if they didn't fit Eh! :?

Rob my apologies . . . It was brought to my attention in a different way then how I first read this. My bad. Oops!

Al,
Yes, you are correct, no sense in making them if they don't fit . . .

Geesh . . . I must be having a blonde hair day . . .

I better stop while I'm ahead . . . or behind? . . .

Brian,
Apology accepted. It was just getting annoying (since they do have their own section) to figure out what topic we were on.
I also would be interested in some spacers if anyone makes some. Three sets.
Brian, do you ever run at Shifters?

Rob,
Yes, matter of fact I do! . . . I will be going there this evening to test a newly-built car that just come in my possession.

Put me down for three sets.

Brian,
I haven't been there for a year or so. Maybe I'll take a run out there tonight if nothing else is going on.
