OhhhhhMan, we gotta get Rick B to tweak his F1 chassis to run THESE. With PROPER min. ground clearance and peryod-korrekt big tyres, of course. Too damn cool.

This jalopy racing thing sure looks like fun. Not too complicated and bruiser type cars. :dance4: :aggressive:

Not to mention the fact good friends always help those who help themselves ;)

Hi Pablo,
I like this statement and may use it sometime in the future.

Very Nice looking build you've done!

Thanks for sharing your trials and tribulations...looking forward to your next project,Thanks for sharing!

Gary, be careful comparing this car to Duffy's latest bruiser......my shell is a JK racing body approx. .010 thick.
Duffy's is mucho thicker :D because he is a board certified "avowed terrible terribalist"
:laugh2:

Brian Mc, thanks !!! You bring to light a good discussion point.... my statement is, I think, worth explaining further for those who may not know what it's all about.
Every time I do a build and a thread, fellow slotbloggers help in many ways, including sending parts, and offering expert advice. No way I could do this all by myself. If it wasn't for helpful friends, it would be impossible. So this is not about pablo, it's about please and thank you, and teamwork. Bottom line, friends are more likely to give parts and help when they know they will get some credit. Nobody likes to be used.
Another reason why, when my intention is to ebay a car, I always put that right up front, so everybody knows. The 36D Legend is a gift to Steve, and we sure appreciate the help.
Brian Mc knows all this, because he is a giver and an inspiration to me.

At the first Dixie Retro race, I asked if Chad had painted the body yet.
Well, at least he has made some progress:

When I do dynamic sidewinders I use large full hub wheels narrowed a bit, and reverse the gear side hub to fit it over the gear boss . 3 inch wide cars are possible with 5/8 wide hubs doing this.

If you take out the brush springs and bend them so they ends are at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock, you will pick up revs significantly without hurting anything!!!

And I won't take 3 months to do it ! :D He is a slacker ;)

Fellas,

Actually, 19 months isn't bad for a project. I've got a moel car that's been "in the works" for over 19 YEARS !!!

Thanks Barney. This car has already been tested successfully.
All that remains to be done is for Chad to do the hand lettering.
