so as of not to show up to practice on those days?

It's no rumor and half of it is already done. Should be done very soon and will leave plenty of time for practice before the race.

Is the entire track being re-braided or just some parts of the track and what will this new braid do to the braid depth ? Or will it stay the same .015 to .020 for the entire track. ?

All turns for sure an some parts of the straights as far as I know. Won't know the answer to the braid depth until it's all done but suspect it will be around the same.

That would be cool. I believe remembering to reverse the white and black leads when hooking up could be challenging for some of us :laugh2:

I spoke with Rob the other day to find out what's happening. He has rebraided the deadman, the parts of the finger and 90 that needed it, and will be working on the donut this Sunday evening and Monday. They close at 4 pm on Sunday now due to lack of people coming in, are closed Monday, and are now also closed Wednesday. Also, they open 2pm on weekdays, 10am on weekends.

BUT...that is their normal hours; I'm not sure if they will be open this Wednesday so if you want to head down there best to call and check.

Also, he is taking the old braid off and getting down to the bare wood, then using the same new braid as before so the braid depth should remain the same.

I'll be down there tomorrow and will check on the the schedule for this week.

These hours are *not* correct. As of Memorial day weekend, we are now closed on Wednesdays, and will open at 2pm on thursday. The hours posted for Friday, Saturday and Sunday are correct. The raceway will open at 7am on those days. Will remain open Friday and Saturday until ??? (11pm latest).

There has been a bit of interest in some "early-bird" practice time, so I would like to add that the raceway will remain open until 11 PM on Thursday the 10th.

Rob:

Is it correct that this Thursday's "Thunder Race" is cancelled in lieu of practice for the RetroPalooza, and is their a $10.00 cover for practice on Thursday as well?

We had a couple of us practicing today. Hard to tell if the track conditions may be representative of what we'll find this weekend, but the braiding looks nice. Guide depths look to be the same as before. The JDSC cars handle SOOO much better than the F1's; I'm looking forward to that race. Looking forward to Friday!

If there is a turnout for Thunder, we will race it, but we will still stay open late for you guys.
