Wow, I never realized how many slot tracks there were in northern NJ. Most of them were probably closed by the time I started getting "serious" about it. I think Nutley, O'Dowds, and Closter were the only ones, at least that I knew of.
It was the same thing on Long Island. Tracks in almost every town 10 to 15 minutes away.

OMG great pics. Phillipe, this is the cut-up chassis you have of mine with the 26D from this race. It's the only time i ever ran a 26D. Fabulous stuff.
Well, Howie, I WISH that it would be, but it is not. I took some pictures and will post them this afternoon.
The details are clear: this is a different chassis altogether, the main rails next to the motor telling the story...

I would like to talk to Al Pollack about Bronx Raceway. I used to work for Lou Graziano at Cobra.

Roy Crawley came later at Cobra. I used to make chassis for them and package them and hand-pick motors, etc.
The Pollack brothers were real fast from up Boston Rd. - Track Mini Wheels? Dion used to come in and I worked there so I sold him a La Cucharacha – well, he wanted it and we raced.

The hobby shop in Pearl River, NY, right over the Montvale border had a small oval... IIRC.
