Ray, note the date change. We had to do it and the race will now be on the Engleman.

John,

I'm glad you chose that track. Please let me know when you guys plan to go back up to the track to practice. I had a lot of fun on Saturday.

Thanks,

:) :) :)

I hope it's not a requirement to use the retro stools.

Here in the northeast, a stool is something you sit on rather than stand in!

I spoke with a gentleman at a race track in PA who attended a race at Slot Zone. He tore up the ligaments in his leg trying to get back to his stool designated location in the one minute between heats, during a race. It is VERY TIGHT back there. I hope the trek to the other side of the track and back during race conditions, doesn't present a problem. Perhaps a little more time between heats to alleviate the intensity of scrambling back to an inaccessable location would alleviate the tension and possible resultant unfortunate incident. I don't mean to sound like a crabby old man. Sorry.

Who will be attending the second Can-Am race at Slot Zone on the 17th? Any additional ex-pros or newcomers commit?

Me.

Have had some messages from folks from CT and elsewhere saying they are coming. Don't know if they are racing. Looks like we should have a good turnout though.

Well . . . John is in the process of building me a chassis now. I'm not sure I will get the car together on time. I should be there to at least watch though. Will the race after this one be Can-Am again?

We are looking to hold two races in April and right now one should be a Can-Am. The second will be for one of the other classes.

We are going to have to require everyone to stand between the stools. Its no problem as long as someone next to you is not sitting on the one next to you. There is plenty of room to stand between them.

Joe,

You need to give me scoop on the GT Flexi, (body, motor,etc.). Getting back into slot cars is a great diversion from the constant focus of my work. I WANT TO RACE!!!

Thanks. :) :)

Just check out the rules. Pretty simple. Bascially a Flexi Chassis like a JK Cheetah, Champion, or Parma with stock Pro Slot, Slick 7, Falcon type motor and one of the approved bodies. Personally I like the OS Porsche, Red Fox Ferrari and the Ford GTs. I'll talk to you more when I see you.
