Why couldn't all cars be teched at the same time. Most guys dont race stockcars so it could be done during that race. May cut down the time between races and make the day shorter......... Just a thought...... At the tracks that have ovals, guys could be doing last minute shake downs on cars during the stockcar race and have tech close at the end of the stockcar race. Again...... just a thought.....

Steve,
Your approach is using common sence and logic...That'll never work!

How many Penn-Ohio BOD's are there? Surley one of them could help lend a hand with tech. Maybe they are to busy practicing/tuning themselves.

Amigos,
Practice time, tuning time, and making the day shorter......Hmmmm......I guess we keep on working this until we can bottle it and sell it to other Organized Racing Groups. This sounds like a Six Sigma Event!

Even if you backed up the start of the first race 1/2 hour that would allow a little more tuning time. You would probably make up that time and then some throughout the day by being able to go right into the next race and not having to stop for tech again. If a few guys chip in and help Dan, set up a line of nazis and just keep the cars rollin' through tech. Once again..... just thinking out loud.

Amigo Steve,
Your thinking out loud is registering the same way with me. Justing THINKING out loud!
Track opens up you have a 90minute window to test and tune your cars for the event.
Track shuts down, go into the tech line with your cars that you wish to run in the event.
Process everthing thing like assembly line tech sheet, payments then tech cars for the event.
Lock down the cars until the event is run. Sounds simple BUT I know there is some speed bumps.
Switching cars to run
Can I make sure the cars will run in the right direction (last minute wrenching on the cars.)
When does the Tech Nazi practice?
I want to get my moneys worth out of my practice time!
Can it work yes but there's the human factor still making it enjoyable expierence with out making it a pain in the @$$.
Again JUST THINKING OUT LOUD! My suggestion has no weight or bearing to the BoD. Again this just an opinion.
Thank you for reading.

The problem with Teching 4 classes at once, means that you have 15 to 25 racers trying to shake down 2 or more cars each on 8 available lanes. The advantage to me is at facilities with an oval and a road course, since I don't run Stockcar. I can tech those cars plus the Flexi's and while the Stockcar's are running I have some time to practice with my Can-Am and P-O F1 car where as if they were all teched in at once I would not be allotted that extra little bit of time.
Now to answer Terry's question. There are 3 of us. I do tech with the help of Ron and whoever else lends a hand. I also do the final race standings at the end of each class, and the points after everything is all done and I am home. Larry does the wonderful newsletters and in depth race reports on top of helping direct Renee' around for event photo's. One of us is always busy making sure the facility is ready for the next run of stuff or making sure what time lunch will arrive etc..
I think that with the new changes that I have made to some of the paper work to help streamline and that the remainder of tracks have hosted before we should be okay from here on out. I have a lot of faith that REM will be ready as we will be the second large event they will host. So they will know what to do.
