Looking gooooood Bob !!! Did you model it after anything? or is it something you just came up with? Looks like it's going to be a challenging track.

Yes, I am working quickly plus I am near Sacramento with a stop in Ventura on my way to Vegas to set up Monday

This track will be run by a marketing company and will be in the American Express booth. Sorry, I will not know till I get there to set it up I will be running races with Race Pace custom painted (AMEX) 1/24 scale TSR NASCAR & TSR BMW's @ about 9 volts The marketing company will take sign ups for racers and I'll run 10 or 15 lap races.

OK, NEWS!

This is the format of how the FREE SLOT RACING FOR AMERICAN EXPRESS CARDHOLDERS will go (from the American Express Ace Marketing Company Momentum Worldwide:

Slot Car Racing

Drive to success. This is a high octane event. That’s the mentality at SEMA. In order to speak with the right tone and energy to break through at the show, we’re inviting cardholders to join us and drive to success on a professional slot car track. We’ve created a custom-designed, American Express OPEN-branded slot car racing experience that will allow Cardmembers to race each other head-to-head and be entered into sweepstakes for a chance to win exciting prizes over the course of the show.

The races will take place in the Silver Lot booth (1-AX) in 15-minute slots throughout the day. The hostess will greet visitors to the booth and distribute consecutively-numbered tickets to race participants (4 per race). The emcee will identify participants at the start of each race and announce the play-by-play of the race. Live footage of the races will be broadcast on the seamless plasma wall in the Silver Lot booth and simulcast on the plasmas in the Grand Lobby and Sky Bridge booths. At the conclusion of each race, the emcee will announce the winner and instruct all participants to complete sweepstakes entry forms. The winner may remain on the table for up to four races to “defend” their title. Other participants are welcome to race again, however, they will need to request another numbered ticket and wait for the next available race.
Prizes
We have created a two-pool sweepstakes- one for winners and one for participants (everyone who plays but does not win). The sweepstakes will be run as follows:
 Participants will provide their name and phone number on their entry forms at the end of each race.
 Winner receives one entry into the winner pool and one subsequent entry for each win up to 4 wins per day. This increases their probability of winning.
 The other 3 participants receive one entry each into the participant pool. They are allowed one entry per day.
 Drawings will be held at 1pm and 4pm on 11/2-11/4 and 1pm and 3pm on 11/5.
 Winners will be awarded iPads (16 GB, Wi-Fi, $500 retail) in the winner pool.
 Participants will be awarded $100 American Express Gift Cards in the participant pool.
 Winners drawn in each pool must be present to win. Winners will be contacted on their cell phones and permitted a reasonable time frame to return to the booth to collect their prizes.
 One prize allowed per person per day.

Well how cool is all this. The track looks like a scale down hill climb. Anything to get the slot cars out to the public. Great idea and good luck with everything.

Rick, I will have the track with me and ROGER, it could be yours but you'd better let me know, they're are some folks here really interested in it.

I had a GREAT day today. One of the first racers was John Barlion from Family Slot Car Raceway (wrong name but close!) in Henderson, NV from about 1990-91.

I also met a racer from Sao Paulo, Brasil who desperately wanted to buy a slot car! I sent him to Micky's but advised him to call first.

Lots of interest to put together a raceway here....

I'll have more pics tomorrow. You just gotta see the awesome paint Bill Pinch did on the bodies!

Looks like a great turn out Bob. I thought that was a real good idea, the way you painted the roofs of the cars the lane colors. The track turned out fantastic !! It almost looks like it was built by a pro Just pulling your chain Bob, I,ve always admired your skills, and always follow all your new builds with excitement .
