What chassis did you run, Warmack's or Austin's?

What sucks is that marshal was me!
When I finally had a minute to talk to Ron the first thing he said was: Don’t worry about it, you were doing your job marshaling and those things happen.
Ron, I feel terrible about jamming your car and I just want to offer my apologies once again. I really appreciate how cool you were about the whole thing. I owe you one!

How about a Austin-built Warmack???What chassis did you run, Warmack's or Austin's?
John, you owe me nothing... LOL... it's all good and "one of those racin' deals" plain and simple.Ron, I feel terrible about jamming your car and I just want to offer my apologies once again. I really appreciate how cool you were about the whole thing. I owe you one!
NO worries and it was great to meet you and glad you came to the race.

Been there, done that. It's all part of racing John, no different than someone coming off in front of you and tearing up your car. What sucks is that marshal was me!
Don't worry about it, someone will get even with you on Ron's behalf.

John didn't do it on purpose and I know that... John was alert and doing a great job as a marshal... he didn't even have to marshal, but he did it when volunteers were asked for... and I am glad he offered when asked.
Without marshals... it would have been much uglier...

Ron,with an attitude like that, you will always be a winner!!!!Thanks, JJ... I don't want him feeling like crap... it wasn't his fault... it happened and it's no different than some car coming three lanes across the track and taking out another.

just as Swanson did the year before."
The above was quoted by Ron Hershman in another thread.
I'm not sure I agree with him.
From the best I could determine, the most difficult thing involved in driving Howie's car
was hooking up the controller correctly at the beginning of every heat.
For those interested in witnessing Howie's car in action by itself, carefully check out all 7 minutes
of footage (1:03:00 - 1:10) at:
Can-Am A Main & post race "test drive"
You might find it amusing.
Of note, off screen, just to the right of where Bill Fulmer
was taking pictues of the podium cars, is Manta Ray's pit space and
an illuminated magnifier.

That was the best I could do.
I don't think Howie would of went for me trying his car between qualifying
and the start of the E Main.
FWIW, usually on my track, especially on Blue, they go the fastest on tall tires.
IMHO, they were still tall enough to make tech.
Regardless, I'm sure it didn't hurt they had 300+ laps of super-truing on the track.

Being the track as so much better this year, I expected a 300 lap winning total.
