guy has always been doin' some crazy stuff.....but it's time to at least make slotbog folks aware............40 bucks for a 20 dollar motor...............does anyone know who Ken O is...I 'm sorry...the Doctor of slot carology...... How is this guy able to get parts at a discount? This is a MAJOR problem for track owners.....................Check ebay... 300455767535

This is the verbage......................remember....11.95 motor.....................6.95 arm fom Alpha..................and he is asking 39.95.................KRAZY................

The latest entry from the JK motor racing stable. This little half pint packs a major punch. Extra small can and endbell are less than an inch in length. It weighs approximately .7 of an ounce. Ken O Racing has taken this motor one huge step further with a full blueprinting service and adding true American balancing by Alpha Product of Fond du Lac, WI. "Alpha the unfair advantage." Services are done here at Ken O Racing by Dr. Ken O, self proclaimed Doctor of slot carology or Professor Ted Essy. This motor is intended for the commercial track, but it can also work for the top drivers on the home track style race tracks. It is maintanence friendly with 4 can-to-endbell mounting screws that permit easy access for maintanence. It has normal 16D brushes and brushes such as SBF II and Gold Dust can be installed after they have been shortened by means of modification with an emory board or other abrasive. Lead wires hook up on the opposite poles of other commercial motors, however the spring post are color coded red/black to remind you which way to make your connections. Some racing nuts with a true need for speed are installing these into their 1/32 scale home track style cars. Yeowee!

Ray, I don't know his background but the same guy has been selling supposedly rezapped Falcon 7s on ebay for a couple years. Maybe he isn't a raceway owner but has a storefront someplace?

Turbo is a North Atlantic flatfish, with a firm, slightly sweet flesh that's most pleasant with a wide variety of light sauces. The cooking time for turbo is typically no more than ~10 minutes per inch of thickness, so there's really very little time to lose the moisture in the meat--therefore, basting is most likely unnecessary in most cases. I suspect the writer slipped the term in to fill copy space--or maybe he just did it for the halibut.

As usual, you gotta buy something if you want to be Turbo Basting...

You must buy your very own Turbo Baster!

I personally as a raceway owner have asked the same question of who the he77 is this guy and where is his track. You can zap a falcon motor but personally it has been tried at my raceway and it wasnt any better but there are some things you can do to them to make em faster than the hawk 7 motors. I would say let this be a buy beware if you buy parts off ebay and not you local raceway you may just end up racing on ebay and not the local track! raceway owners arn't all rich and most rely on customers spending money at the track not ebay. thats just my two cents you can all do what you want but talking with other raceway owners they all see this turning into a bigger problem in the future. If your looking to have fun and save money talk to your local raceway owner about a discount if you spend over 100.00 at a time most will at least cover your tax. I know that my local racers get 10% on purchases over 100.00 and mail order i cover the shipping and give a discount on large orders.

In the 90's I used to race at this track that would discount if they had to special order an item and you prepaid. The customer was happy for receiving a discount for compensation of not being able to make that "impulse" purchase. Shop was that they didn't loose the purchase to their competition / mail order and didn't have any out of pocket expense. Win win for everyone

Good point, Mike, and a philosophy I'd want in any friend of mine, but you're hijacking a perfectly silly thread here with your serious and much-needed reminder! Can we please get back to pictures of LiPo-powered oosiks like we really need on Thanksgiving Eve?

...Now: I make a point of throwing money at my local track guy whenever I have some, for a very simple reason: because my hobby costs.

And, at that, it costs less than drinking and whoring around, many times less when you factor in the collateral costs of such activities, e.g. doctors' and lawyers' bills just for starters.

For this eternal 12-yr-old at least, Slots is the most fun-per-buck you can find. Tossing money at the local track is like paying the cable TV bill, only with a sore trigger finger and a lot more trash talk.

Definitely something fishy here. There's something I don't understand.
Like ”Turbo Basting”. Or ”and he is asking 39.95”. Or this flowery description:

Ken O Racing has taken this motor one huge step further with a full blueprinting service and adding true American balancing by Alpha Product of Fond du Lac, WI. "Alpha the unfair advantage." Now that he's asleep, let me introduce the new
PABLO - O - RACING DUFFYMASTER motor
Fully Duffied and assembled in a highly secret location in Mississippi by Chinese monkeys.
Space-age krypton mags are zapped 32 times.
Arm has been tension-relieved, wire dewound then re-wound to assure proper hi-tensile number of turns.
Fully legal at all Pablo approved national level raceways for all types racing from HO to G7.
Carbon-electrode "Duffymaster" brushes had been pre-seated at 5,000 degrees F to ensure this is indeed a "disposable" motor.
Balanced in a zero-gravity facility.
Rated by NASA test labs at over 250,000 RPM.
Act now, and Duffy himself will autograph the first 1,000 motors sold :D
They will not last long at $89.99

O how unfair is life.
I truly don't know what's more unpleasant to wake up to:

Finding my provisionally-good name dragged into some scam blurb by Pablo (that benthic snake-oil merchant with better hair than me!);
Or:
Discovering that Cheater or some other well-meaning soul has slipped an "L" into the thread title, creating an Emily Letilla moment of cosmic proportions and oh-by-the-way rendering all our fun completely incomprehensible to future readers.

(Please note, Future Readers--as originally posted, the title was "Turbo BASTING" and, imp that I am, I just took & ran with it. Went all fishy on y'all.
Okay?
So if you readers-to-be thought something smelt, don't carp at me: I've been left high & dry just like you. So, I'm gonna just clam up now.
No, I'm not being koi: I just prefer not to flounder around any further. I'll just perch here and watch you lot skate. Go ahead, flex your typing mussels.)

Mississippi is the only state with laws loose enough to set up shop. As it is, I can't talk to the little critters. They do seem to respond well to the occasional spank, though.

Now who is this guy?

Dunno, but if I gotta have a rep as a Monkey Spanker, it's only fair that we nail him as a Mullet Rubber.

And, now, I really gotta go get cooking!

If those "Turbo Blasted" specials are not fast enough for you, I have something y'all might be interested in.

That would be my specially prepped "Turbot Basted" specials. It is a super secret process where you run the Falcons and also TSR D3 motors (the TSR require special handling as they must be moved from south to north, rather then north to south in front of the magnatron in my kitchen while a nice flaky fish is being cooked after basting with a buttery garlic sauce. I can safely verify these are the fastest Falcon or TSR motors you will ever use!
