I got started on the second CanAm car today but I need think over what I would like to do? :laugh2:
It is based on a Warmack kit.

Tomorrow I will solder it together but I need to talk to...before it happens.
The car in the back ground (Red & Yellow)is the copy of Duran's winning car at Check Point. ;)

I will burn it up don't worry it will look like crap when I'm done with it. ;)
Don't like to build chassis, but I guess the consensus is that I got to? :laugh2:

The KEY is consistent driving!

The main rails are fine as they are so solder the puppy together and put in a bite bar you think is proper.

(clue.... the bite bar is the key  ;) )

I noticed the motor bracket is tilting down? One reccomendation is to screw a junk motor to your bracket before you solder it in place. That way when you put a motor in the finished car, it will never hang down below the chassis.

Nesta

Guide length = I like to run anywhere from .900" - 1" in length. I thought the current BP trend was 1/2" - 3/4"? I don't know what the two chassis you got from me are, but I would guess .900" or slightly under? I'm thinking from memory they were 7/8" or .875"?

As far as wheelbase goes, it looks like you have your car on the jig set for 4"? I woudn't go over that or you'll probably have a hard time with the bodies you guys use? I believe both of the cars you got from me were built at the - 1/16" setting on your jig?

Hope that helps?

Well I did bend that .078 wire by hand and man it came out bad! :laugh2: Anyway chassis don't need to look pretty after all as long as they preform good, and don't fall apart!
Got the main rail soldered in and now I will do the rest of this thingie? :laugh2:
The good thing is I can always desolder it again and start over again.
Maybe I put a Pablo thingie in it to make it look trick! :laugh2:
