"So don,t offer your opinions on a one sided story!"
You are certainly not offering the "other" side of the story. Kind of makes one wonder about them balls !
First off, there was NO by run. The guy that shot his car down the track was NOT the guy that Joe raced. He was testing out a car for the nexted class to see if he had something to run.
The glue at mid track was there from prevoius passes made all night long. The spots at mid track were made when your testing your glue for the start of your race and the car is sent halfway down the track and stops.
When you pick up your car it leaves behind a little residue.(Can't clean track past the timing light). There was glue at the end of the track on Joe's lane but not past the sensor, it was on the dead side of the track. According to witnesses and the track director(who is currently trying to reply, but for some reason is not allowed to) Joe was sleeping at the light and was cleanly beat off the line. Joe's car spun at half track and lost the race at the end. At no time was he ahead of his apponent! At the end of the race Je was offered a re-match by his apponent in a best two out of three and Joe refused the offer. There is no way to know what lane you are on untill your name is called and youget yourself and your car up to the line. At that point you have a minute or two to get your lane ready. Joe was asked if he saw ANYONE tampering with his lane, his reply was NO. There were at least 15 other people in the store and nobody saw anything happen. So either everyone is against him(which isn't the case, there is no loop) or he just seen things differently. Based on the information and the circumstances there was no re-match. Try looking at it from the other racers point of view, he won once why should he have to beat him again altough he did offer. As a raceway owner I try to be honest and impartial (it,s hard to stay in buisness if you cheat you customers and lie to the all the time). If we screw up (which happens from time to time) we make good the best way we can. Nobody's perfect. Those of you who know Joe and have raced with him know that he is very competative, and I respect him for that. We also know that he is the first one to complain and voice his opinion if something does'nt go his way. He is the only one that I have EVER had a problem with on this forum and it's probably due to this very competative nature. With that said, my offer is extended to anyone who would like to talk to me in person about this matter. You know where to find me!
Respectfully,

Why would we let someone try a car out just before a final round ?
The guy I raced was the guy who made a pass just before the last round and Tony said it was a time shot , whatever that is.
I never sent the car even a 1/4 track and I just prepped my lane up to the tree.
You know the car and how it is and I was never even near there and I'm so anal about the glue I put Velcro on the glue board I bought from you and I use my own glue so it is the same every time.
Yea there is glue down the whole track but I'm talking about the glue that was rolled on the track just before the finish line and the three drops that came from a bottle at half track.
Stop the **** you saw it and you know it.
Yea the glue at top end was indeed before the sensor at the finish line .
If you could go back into the computer you will see I had him off the tree so what are you talking about. A re match ? Yea you and I asked and he refused are you kidding me .
Rob I don't know why you are trying to turn the story. You asked and he said no.
He knew he was in that lane before his so called time shot.
Yes I talk up when I feel things are not right like no break out times in a roundy round race.
Rob What if this happens again ? I would hope it does not.
Maybe it is time to lock the topic I'll leave it up to the mod's.
I should have thought of taking a few pictures at the time.
Why would I do this when I help you promote the race ?

He called me on the phone and told me that after he signed on that he " was not allowed to comment on this topic at this time" replied the forum. But what do I know I'm just a jerk with tiny balls!

Joe when you come down to the track again I'll show you how the glue got to half track. It's funny how the marks (8) of them were equally spaced on either side of the braid and rolled out the exact distance of a 1 1/16 tire.
Kinda hard to do with a bottle of glue in less than a minute and a half with no one seeing you in the middle of a 4000 sq ft. store! Especially when YOU are at one end of the track running your car in the direction of the perp. and when I asked you if you saw anyone, you said NO! So if you could not tell me if anyone actually put glue on the track and you tell me that the glue at the end wasafter the finish then why would or should I grant a re-match even though it was offered by the other racer according to the race director and several eye witnesses that I talked to. Are we guilty until proven innocent or the other way around. I never even talked to the other guy that night about a re-match so don't put words in my mouth. I told you once in the past that this was not a place to air your dirty laundry. You get all sorts of people involved with no clue as to the events of that night. Don't you ever get tired of complaining about how you always get cheated. Maybe it's not the other guy all the time! I really don't care to go on about this topic anymore because I feel it's going to get ugly fast! Come down to the store and we'll talk about it over some coffee. I'll buy!

Split, my a$$, the other car should been DQ'ed and you get 1st AND 2nd place money. LOL Accident, intentional? Doesn't matter. The lane was tampered with, that is a DQ, no questions asked.
Now Rick--THIS makes total sense. It would be the ONLY way to get cheaters to stop!! They should NOT get a chance to benefit in ANY WAY!!! HE should have been DQ'd--- and suspended from racing---But---he says it was OBVIOUS the track had been tampered with----and the OWNER did nothing to make it right!! AND--they guy that cheated refused to re-run the race?? This track is NEVER going to be trust worthy. I'd find another place to race---life is too short to have to deal with BS like that.

It was not meant to air dirty laundry , I was just looking for some opinions on how it should be handled..I told you once in the past that this was not a place to air your dirty laundry. You get all sorts of people involved with no clue as to the events of that night. I really don't care to go on about this topic anymore because I feel it's going to get ugly fast! You were behind the counter and had no clue as to what went on until I called you because the race director did not want to get involved. I spend a lot of time here on S/B so I was reaching out to some friends to get some insight.
I'll take you up on the coffle and hopefully see you Tuesday.
You could clean your lane upto the tree witch is about the first 8 to 10 feet.If you are not allowed to prep the lane however you want in the 1 minute allowed.
Been Drag Racing since '92 and never heard of not being allowed to clean your lane.
This is a disturbing thread. With the kind of money I see involved in model car drag racing it is no longer for fun and bragging rights. Mount a video recording camera in the ceiling viewing the entire track and if someone messes with a lane have them prosecuted or the mob will be moving in on your raceway. If you don't think it can happen, talk to the Professor.
I think this is a great idea , it is a shame it has to come down to this.
In summary Slots-A-Lot is a great place to race .
This was not all about the money as I like the bragging rights and the little kill sticker for the box when they have them.
Thanks all for the input .
Can this please get locked I think the point was made.
