1) Checking track polarity: white post/right braid is gate (+ positive; - negative); RED post/left braid is ground/opposite of white.
2) Controller action and led operation: use a 9 volt DC battery - + pos to white clip and - neg to red clip.
3) Equal length track wiring. Always a good topic with many opinions. To me, the bottom line is that the least resistance will give the most power to the lane. I also like to place the ground at the braking zones and the power line from the black post in each of the acceleration areas on each lane. This also maximizes power and braking efficiency.
