Is the Cox trailing guide a common/easily obtained item?
For those who may not of already seen it:

Well, I didn't have enough "Chazoom Teal" to paint the whole car so I added some metallic blue and a couple drops of yellow. Then applied that to a base coat of silver.... "tada" we have something closer to emerald green than teal. Oh well, that can be pretty too! (That answer your question Rick?)
Mike, the trailing guide seems to be quite rare to me as this is the very first I have ever seen!
If PdL were paying attention he might have something additional to share.
Next step is to let this thoroughly dry, wet color-sand to knock off the specks and apply one more wet coat.

I believe the guide is one from a COX supper Cuc.Mike, the trailing guide seems to be quite rare to me as this is the very first I have ever seen!
"Drive it like you're in it!!!"
"If everything feels under control... you are not going fast enough!"
Some people are like Slinkies... they're really good for nothing... but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

"We're not happy unless you're not happy"
"You want it when?"

The interior and engine plate are also painted as are a few other detail bits.
And a few final shots.
(Yeah, no license plate. Couldn't find a decent decal that I liked.)
The paint is all lacquer including the clearcoat, which incidentally is Tamiya pearl clear.
Looks very pretty in the sunlight!

Question: How do you do the dark detail line on the trunk/door/hood seams?

I have been away from this one for a long time. No big surprise how amazing the Jairus built it is coming out but it is an amazing surprise to see it done and so purr-fect.
The chassis the color choices the fit and finish and Double Trouble Ds on board! Did I mention the hood emblem and the wheels
All BS aside Jairus, just Right !!!

Nice, Jarius....
Question: How do you do the dark detail line on the trunk/door/hood seams?
I draw them in with a Rapidograph technical pen between coats of clear.

Needless to say they seldom get along.
I try to enjoy both sides. I respect the $20,000 paint jobs and effort it takes to create them on show vehicles, but also like the ride/drive them daily bikes and rods. I'm sick enough I even like an occasional Rat Rod/bike.
Anyone who doesn't like the mastercraftsmanship of folks like Chris Clark, Jairus, and dc-65x only limit themselves. I know, I used to be one of them, until my eyes opened once I took the blinders off.

I rarely go over there to look around, but anyone who can't appreciate what you've done with this thing simply doesn't "get it" IMO. The car is baaaaadass!
