John.

I use 3M spray contact cement to glue thin brass (0.032" and smaller) to a piece of double ply illustration board. It adds some body to the piece and eliminates the lifting. When finished, peel the illustration board off, and use lighter fluid to remove the remaining adhesive.

I am not a doctor, but I played one as a child with the girl next door.

Another saw that recently came on the market and works well for our needs is the Rockwell Bladerunner. Basically it is a jigsaw mounted in a table. I got one for Xmas from my wife. The blades that came with it were junk but with good blades it is a very useful saw. It has a nice speed control on it as well as a handy fence system. I much prefer it over my scroll saw.

I would LOVE to have that DoAll saw! My high school had one of those. It was my first taste of band saws and nothing has compared favorably since. Although my current OLD (circa 1935) Walker-Turner 12" is still a great saw. Now if I could just buy ready made blades for it I would be happy. I just broke my last good blade and now I am going to have to weld up some new ones as they don't make that length blade anymore.

If you go to somebody that services the machine tool industry (I use our local place called Production Tool) they should have the ability to have custom length blades welded up from any material you desire, I like the bi-metal because they go through about anything and wear close to forevever.
