Racing was awesome. Tony, the chassis were great; most came in at about 125 grams... If you add the time, the cars/motors ran 16 mains!!! Almost a whole season's worth of racing in one day... The time went fast... Noose set up a great race, Jay and Mike provided a great place, and my buddy Bruce got a First Place...We sure did!

Thanks to all who made this day the rush it was. Yes, indeed it was a total blast, and if we can pull this off as a yearly thing it'll be great - at the very least it may result in some rethinking of the prevailing "wisdom" regarding what our equipment is capable of.
And thanks, most humble, to my Team: for nobility and valor above and beyond the call of Duffy. - 'Jus' wait'll nex' time.

No problems with the motors at all. Our car seemed to slow a little but when we put new tires on the speed came right back. Ray won our motor in the drawing and it was in such great shape it just needs new brushes - no comm wear and no bushing wear at all. I have motors with two races on them that are oiled every other heat that have more bushing wear.Did the motors go all the way?

What I found extraordinary was the lack of any real carnage ( wrecks ) all in all the race was very event free.

32 guys made the race....wow that was amazing. To run 6 hours and for it to come down the the final 45 minutes shows that in racing its never over till its over. Matt was great at setting up the car, having a plan and trying a gear ratio that no one else even thought of and when we told everyone they thought we were crazy. You could say crazy 8's won it . Mikey was great at driving and Bruce really stepped it up for this race and looked like he drove some of his best driving lately. To everyone else, It was always a pleasure to race with you guys when I can make theses races and I will see you guys at PJR.
Once again thank you all and I cannot wait till next year.

The rule of no track calls was the best, although riders can be devastating and prone to injury, human that is. Hope Ed's finger is okay.
Till next time......

not stretched out like most Enduros. Great idea to pick out teams
and use pre-made cars to assemble ..it worked out
very fair. Anyone had a chance to win & racers got to race with
other racers they would never race with at a competitive level.
Great job to everyone involved. Speedzone rules.
Congrates to Matt's Team &
a special note on Wes he had fast race lap

Wow! What a race!
Essentially 30 seconds separating the first and second place teams after six hours! Then you have only 20 seconds between the third and fourth place teams!
No motor blow-ups. If you do the math you would see that that these cars ran the equivalent of 16 normal mains. Many found that bushings in the motors were just fine and there was still plenty of brush life left. Thanks, Pro Slot, for the great motors!
Not many tire changes at all. All the hubs held up fine and most teams only used two sets while some did use three sets. The fronts were all in pretty decent shape although some were worn down pretty low. Again, remember this was 16 normal mains. Most teams used probably six sets of braids overall. Even that is pretty good.
With the exception of perhaps the Gorski team, which had a rough time of it, all of the bodies held up very, very well. Thanks, Outisight!
And finally, the skills of Tony P were awesome. It was truly amazing how equal these cars were overall and especially in the handling department.
There was no doubt that this will become an annual Retro East™ event!
Well, that's about it. I want to personally thank Ron Hershman of Outisight, Dan DeBella of Pro Slot, and the man himself Tony P for their help in making this happen. We must of course thank Mike Iles and Jay Kisling of Speed Zone and especially Brandon Millinghausen for all his work as race director.
