We need to create a convention-style enviroment, staging races for 1/32 cars, scale, model car, vintage etc. to pull a bigger demographic and participant base.
The vision also included an industry-wide trade show, slot racing swap meet, 1:1 vintage race car exhibit, and a reunion of racers past and present...
To be successful, and meet the stated goals, this undertaking must be an EVENT, not just a race...
Fortunately, the Chicago area has a facility that can handle such an undertaking, and a knowledgable management team to put it all together.

IRRA is a trademark of the International Retro Racers Association (IRRA) and may not be used without expressed written permission.
IRRA is a rules-making body only and does not sanction, approve, sponsor, or hold slot racing events. For this reason, the trademark IRRA™ may not be used in the names of races, i.e. the Mid-Alaska IRRA Moose Maul or the Golden Grain IRRA Nats.
The IRRA trademark may be used specify the rule set being enforced at a slot racing event, i.e. the 2008 Noose 500 Retro Can-Am run under IRRA™ Rules, the Cheater Crash-o-Rama for IRRA™ Can-Am CARS, or IRRA™ style Can-Am racing every Friday night.

May I remember to his Great Majesty that after a demand at the United States Patent and Trademart Office it appears that there has never be such a thing as a registered IRRA trademark. All they can tell there is that there has in the best case a demand for such, but that nobody ever paid for it if there already has been a demand. So may I, an innoble servant of His Great Majesty may ask His Great Majesty to confess that there never has been an IRRA trademark in the USA, but only in Irraland. But where on the map can your innoble servant find Irraland?
