Tough questions! Can I say "all of them"?

No, guess not... in that case, I'd have to put this one first, because it always fascinated me, ever since I first saw the ads in 1965 - and was finally able to find one on eBay around 10 years ago... It came with two of these Cheetah bodies, one already painted, and one clear; this one, which I painted myself - and I ran this car in the first Bordo international vintage slot racing meeting... Adam & Sons Quad MkI, ca 1965, $24.95 (introductory price $19.95).

Among the cars that I didn't fantasize about at the time was the Monogram Lotus 38 - never really thought about it much at the time, since it seemed kind of out of date. But picked up one a few years ago, restored it (with a little help from an artistic friend...), and it's one of the cars I admire most in my showcase. It's also an excellent runner, really a joy to drive!

There are many more, but since you asked for a favorite...

Don,

You should like the Adams & Sons car... there's a chassis on eBay now at $610.00 (13 bids so far) and the reserve hasn't been met :) !!

Pretty darn heavy, Tony! Don't remember offhand, but around the 6 oz mark I would say... what's funny is that they then came out with a Mk II - and it was even heavier! Even though the chassis was simplified, it still came out heavier - and it was sold with a Monogram 275P body, which was way too narrow for it! I think the first was listed with a Cobra GT, but have never seen that, and it was way too narrow also - they're about 3-1/4" wide, which was not exactly legal at the time...

For what it's worth, I paid about $800 for mine, and that was ten years ago.

Anything by Cox, preferably with orig box and instruction sheet. I like the Cox RTR cars, Cheetah's my fav, the 1/32 GT40(in pic) is also RTR, also like the Cox Team Modified cars (don't have any), I"ve read their performance was poor in the day, but think the concept of the car is cool, and like how they came in their own specially marked "Team Modified" box....... Other cars I don't have, that I really like, would be the Auto World brass bodied Lotus Jean-Michel's pics..... and MPC 1966 Charger.

Did any of these displays survive, I've never seen one ?

Actually it does not and I have been looking for one of these for the past 20 years.

Favorite slot car? This one.

Which Corvette body, Bob? If you're referring to the upside down Grand Sports above, I think it's a DuBro factory painted job... the white one in the other thread is a Eureka Petite GP, the Corvette GS Special (roadster).

That's a nice display Grasshopper - both yours and the one in the photo, which must be impossible to find!

Indeed, but it is not a GS, just a modified Vette for SCCA racing. :)

Wow Philippe, Very surprised about both. Of all the cars a Testor, I knew you had a thing for them when you got the two new cars from me about 10 years ago. But so many wonderful specimens have past your way that I never would have guessed.

20 years is long enough......I hope you find the Cox display soon..... somehow, somewhere, someway!!!

Sorry Don, the upside down one.
With no surprize I believe Dokk is Korrect they don't have any flares, scoops, bumps or bulges as on the GranSport. (opps...not Buick)
Set mine up for a generic USAC/SCCA Production look.:)

I do believe it's a GS, but will have to take a photo tomorrow - only the GS with very big flared fenders is wide enough for a MkII chassis! Those universals and Riggen tires take up a lot of space!

The GS have very different hoods and indeed there were a few modeled as 1/32 and 1/24 scale clear plastic bodies, but the Du-Bro is not one of them and has very different fender flares. I will take pictures soon to show you the differences. :)

Its almost like asking which girlfriend is your favorite, they all have some thing that does something for me, how about you what is your favorite one? ;)

I see what you guys mean... here's a shot of my Adam & Sons Quad MkII that came with this Du-Bro body. Inside it's marked "Du-Bro Products / 24-30 / Sting Ray MS / $1.79" Still looks a lot closer to a Grand Sports than a regular Sting Ray...

Also, if you notice the chassis, you may see that one of my universals is broken: in case anybody happens to have an extra Quad universal joint... I weighed the cars and with bodies the Quad MkI is 182 grams, and the Quad MkII is 192 grams - funny, because the chassis seems simpler, but it's still heavier!
