I just found out that the legendary American motorcycle racer, Gary Nixon died of a heart attack. He was 70 years old.

Anybody who ever saw him ride will remember him well. His days with Erv Kanemoto on the semi-factory Kawasaki 750 H2r on which he had more victories on than did the full factory team!! I loved the wheelies he always did on Erv's TZ750. He was one of the last racers that played as hard as he rode back in the day.

God Speed Mr. Nixon.

That bike wouldn't do 150mph if you dropped it down a mineshaft!!!

I read Scalzo's book about Gary...

Great read.

Of course, I have loved everything that Scalzo has written.

Fun watching him ride - different lines than most.

RIP.
