Testing the new O/S 436 McLaren F1 body...

I was skeptical to cut the body on the cut line at first, but decided to go for it and see what happens. Well I'm glad I did, because if you do, it comes out right at the max once mounted. So, very nice job on the cut line placement!
It didn't take long to feel the downforce this body makes, with the biggest improvment coming up the donut. The car was much more stable or "in the track" as I call it. After some A to B comparison tests against the Lotus 49, the M7C seems to be able to produce a 1/2 to a full tenth faster lap time overall. More importantly it felt more consistant lap after lap on a long run.
I was not able to try the O/S 437 M9A, however it seems like it will be a perfect medium between the M7C and Lotus 49, and I will have some of those painted and mounted today ready for Roger's this weekend.

Room for several... if they are in 1/24 scale...
Body release of the year. Good job O/S...

When you reviewed the data from your new RTR chassis telemetry system, at what point in the donut did
the added stability of the new O/S 436 "kick in" ?
At 172 degrees?
213 degrees?
241 1/2 ?

How am I going to set the Auto-accelerate pot on my new Super FET Ultra without them?

those are the weak links of THE F1 BODIES out in the market ,
i believe the old Lotus 49 would be a fantastic body without those flimsy wings,
