Oscar, have you tried the new Parma Matra or the new ones yet as noted above by OS? HUGE difference in the front as compared to any of the Lotus 49s out there.

Noose i tried to order them thru "my local raceway",with no success,
(they couldnt find the PART #'s i gave them) i'd like trying the Parma Matra

If you can't mount the Matra body, it's time to farm that job out LOL. Easy peezy.

The PARMA website has the Matra body posted. Maybe the raceway's distributor is the problem (the one my local raceway uses never seems to have anything in stock...)

Oscar....... I and many others have been running the Lotus 49's for over a year and no one has complained about the "wings" being flimsy of causing problems during racing.

As for the dist's being out of stock of bodies........ not sure if you are talking about the Parma Matra or the OS bodies........ if the Dist's are out of OS F1 bodies..... they must be selling pretty quickly for them as I have been shipping lots and lots of them since the release of both OS Mc Larens.

At my raceway, the story is just as bad for your bodies Ron. I had 49Bs on back order for 6 weeks, and had him cancel that when the McLarens came out. I've been waiting at least 6 weeks for the new Chevron and the Parma Lola GT.

When I get back from the Shootout, I'll PM the name of the distributor; I assume you'll know how many bodies they've ordered.

Here's the mould for my Lotus 49B, just waiting for a roll bar. I plan to make the earlier version from the same casting by chopping off front wings and filling in the front deck vents, etc. Special order for a purist racer over here!

John,

The Type 49 without the wings will be legal for SCRRA racing in SoCal. :)
