The Smoky Mtn Shootout "Top Gun" award, determined using the NASCAR point scheme as applied to the Shootout classes, is:

Jay Guard of Anniston, AL.

Jay received a Third Eye Renegade 2 controller as well as a plaque denoting him as the 2012 Shootout Top Gun.

Jay also received the "Hard Charger" award yesterday during the Can-Am class, designating him as the driver who improved his starting position the most.

Ron, this winning with borrowed cars and non-King tracks MUST STOP. People will get the wrong idea about you. LOL.

Jay, after the beating your Can-Am took on Saturday this must feel good.

John, be sure and remind Noose every five minutes that you podiumed the ENTIRE TRIP HOME.

Sure that he wasn't? Ron could have a lot to return for a short term coalition. But he probably won on talent, congratulations.

Great racing for those on the inside and those of us on the outside looking in for this inaugural event. So much for the home track advantage and juiced motor thing...
