Keith Brown and me are making plans to be there, plus probably another guy.

I have a couple of questions though. Is the GTC-FK class going to be a hand-out motor race? If not, are TSR motors allowed?

Because light travels faster than sound, some people appear to be bright until we hear them speaking.

It is not a hand-out race. You can run an F7 or a TSR.

I can't wait for June 30. Get to race on the Black Snake again, we got the ever-popular Don Berni planning to attend, two great racers from Indiana coming down, Flythe, Forrester, and Dobbs driving up, all kinds of cool things happening!

Looks like it will be an awesome weekend!

I saw Tommy Flythe yesterday, and he was practicing all eight of his new Retro cars and they were fast! I have also heard some of the Indiana racers have already been down to Central TN Raceway for some testing.

Less than a week away!

It looks like my partner-in-crime, Jay Guard, is going to have to skip this race.

Last weekend, Jay was working in his yard when his foot slipped on a root and he slammed his knee into the edge of the wheelbarrow he was pushing. The impact severed all four of the quadriceps tendons that attach that muscle to the kneecap. The doc fitted him with a high-tech brace that allows him to walk if he locks it in the upright position, but he's going to have surgery to repair the damage sometime this week and that's going to mean he can't make it to Lavergne for Retro South race #1.

I am still planning to attend.

Thanks, Rick, It's a real bummer as I was really looking forward to the first Retro South race. Hopefully I'll be able to make a few races later in the season.

Hi Jay,

Sorry about your injury causing you to miss our first Retro South Race. Just make sure you're all healed up for the Retro South Race at 'Slots of Fun' in Abbeville.

Take care of yourself.

Well, since my pal Jay has abandoned me for the flimsiest of reasons (LOL!), Tommy Flythe and I will be traveling together, leaving for Lavergne on Friday evening.

Just to let everyone know the track power at Central TN Raceway is 14.2 volts, and the braid recess is between .010-.015".

Updating the roll call:

Of course Randal Lane will be there since he is the race director for all Can-Am and F1 races. LOL

Mick Holtsclaw is confirmed

Ron Hershman, and Rande are confirmed

I believe Tommy Flythe is confirmed

Rick C is talking to others to confirm.

Can't wait to race with Ron again and see what he can do with Black Snake!

Will update more as we get it!

After all the "King Cobras" Ron has conquered, a "Black Snake" should be easy for him to tame...

Rick,

It's a nice track, and very easy to drive. The track design won't challenge Ron very much at all...

As I've said before, I've raced at Central TN for many years, with the Black Snake being the third different track in that facility. I don't know exactly why, but every race I've ever attended at that raceway has been a blast, which I can't say about every raceway where I've raced.

Actually, I was trying to compliment Ron. Hope I didn't come across wrong? I figure Ron finishing first is almost as certain as me finishing last.

Didn't come across as wrong to me. I just wanted to indicate that it's a pretty easy track to drive, in case anyone was concerned about that.
