Seen a 10cc car in Estonia 26 years ago to do some 140MPH - it was impressive even when it wasn't put lean enough to get full speed.

Fascinating! Thanks for info.Here is one in action. The cable is atached to the bridle so that the center of gravity lifts all but the inside drive tire off of the ground to reduce the rolling resistance.
So when these comes up to speed, they actually becomes unicycles...

I think there are only three tracks left in the US but check out the link below for the latest on tether car racing. They do around 200mph these days.

On the latest American Pickers show they are appraising some Tether Cars and one of them is the Teardrop bodied car talked about here, worth watching.
