The Slick 7 S588A and S7 588B are now approved motors for use in the Jail Door GP and Sports car classes effective immediately. Testing has shown equivalent speeds to the Falcon 2 and these have better brakes.

A quick peek at the NorCal Stockers shows a different can than the MB's. If they keep up with Falcon 2's with better brakes, then maybe a consideration for Retro 1/32's should be looked at.

Which means new anglewinder chassis for CW rotation. :)

Not the same S7 MB's that I'm aware unless they have changed to these style cans. I've not seen these before, but there again we don't run the MB's here locally.

they definately have more brakes, and the torque is better than a F-2,,,,
a couple guy here @BPR used them with success in our Scratchbuilt 32nd's,,,
and theyre just as fast in either direction,i think they have Neutral timing

Those pictured in the Stock Cars above are the "B" version (the most recent) We adopted these for our F-1 cars when the "A" version (two hole can) that we had been running for a couple years, ran out. These do have more torque and brakes than the "A" although when each is geared properly, they will run very similar speeds. We have recently adopted this motor for our Stock Cars as shown above. We are very happy with this motor although a little concerned that supplies got thin about 6 weeks ago. That is probably resolved by now. I'd think this is a great choice for JD or 1/32 as well.

Neutral timing. The pic above shows the motor can spin either way. Easy access to the comm. Twist a mon motor?.. thinkin' out loud that's all. I gots to get one.

PCH parts express lists them... of course that doesn't necessarily mean they have them in stock...

If I'm not mistaken the NorCal Retro guys use these motors and they are available form multiple sources. I use them myself from time to time.

PCH PM'd me and said they have them in stock.

The problem is, if the distributor does not have them in stock, they probably are not going to order on two or three pieces.
