You are right, every racer needs to make a trip to Abbeville and admire Slots of Fun! I was there a couple of years ago and raced Stock Cars and Can-Am. Racing was really good and everyone was helpful and the stock of parts that Don has on the walls is AMAZING! Although I own a track, I am sure he will get some of my money! LOL!

Due to a racer coming to town early, 'SOF' will be opening an hour earlier on Friday, Aug. 17, than previously posted. I will be open from 11 AM - 10 PM.

Randal and I should be there around 5 Friday.
Ralph and I will both tech F1 and Stock Car together to speed things along. We were going to do that at Central, but we didn't have the best setup for it. Randal, who is our traveling race director for F1 and Can-Am, gets to race Stock Cars this time while Ralph race-directs. He is excited to try his first Stock Car race on the oval!

The grandstand is around .005". The oval seems to vary in spots.

For the oval, make sure your guide flag is at least flush to the bottom of your chassis to start. You may have to add additional spacers as you test.
Everyone at the track is set up this way with very little if any launching.
