IRRA PREMIER EVENT

CAN-AM F1 STOCK CAR

THIS IS A COMBINED PENN OHIO, ORS AND MRRA EVENT. ALL RACERS ARE WELCOME

RACERS WILL CHOOSE WHICH SERIES THEY WISH TO SCORE POINTS IN. RACERS CAN ONLY PICK ONE SERIES TO SCORE POINTS IN.

ALL STOCK CAR DRIVERS WILL SCORE POINTS IN PENN-OHIO

CAN AM AND F1 WILL RUN ON THE KING TRACK. STOCK CARS WILL RUN ON THE OVAL TRACK.

F1 WILL USE PENN OHIO RULES FOR MIN TIRE DIA AND REAR CLEARANCE.

ALL OTHER RULES/CLASSES WILL USE IRRA RULES.

CAN AM AND F1 WILL QUALIFY AND RACES WILL BE SEEDED BY QUALIFYING TIME AND OVERALL LAP TOTALS FROM ALL MAINS IN EACH CLASS WILL DETERMINE THE OVERALL FINISH FOR THE CLASS. THE ORS RACE FORMAT WILL BE USED FOR THIS EVENT. ALL RACES ARE 3 MIN ON AND 2 MIN OFF.

STOCK CARS WILL BE “PILL DRAW” FOR HEATS AND OVERALL LAPS TOTALS WILL DETERMINE THE OVERALL FINISH. MAINS WILL BE 2 ON AND 2 OFF.

ALL MOTORS IN CAN AM AND F1 WILL HAVE TO BE IRRA LEGAL MEANING THEY MUST HAVE SCREWS IN THE CANS TO ENDBELL AND SCREWS MUST BE COVERED BY THE MOTOR SEAL. THIS IS A IRRA RULE EFFECTIVE 9-1-12.

SCHEDULE FOR SATURDAY

TRACK OPENS 7 AM

TECH FOR CAN AM AND F1 OPENS AT 9 AM

TRACKS WILL BE SHUT OFF AT 9 AM SHARP

QUALIFYING FOR CAN AM TO START AT 9:30 AM WITH QUALIFYING FOR F1 TO START AT THE CONCLUSION OF CAN AM QUALIFYING.

RACING TO START AT THE CONCLUSION OF F1 QUALIFYING.

CAN AM WILL RUN FIRST FOLLOWED BY F1 AND STOCK CARS.

STOCK CAR TECH WILL TAKE PLACE LATER IN THE DAY…. TO BE ANNOUNCED AT THE EVENT.

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY PIT PASS $ 10.00 EACH DAY.

ENTRY FEE IS $ 7.00 FOR EACH CLASS.

LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED AND SERVED DURING THE CAN-AM RACES. THERE WILL BE NO “BREAK” FOR LUNCH. EAT WHEN YOU ARE NOT RACING OR MARSHALING.

There will be a race for all three classes this Sunday 9-9-2012. Doors open at 11,race rotation F-1,Can-Am,Retro Stock Cars,Tech open at 12:30 closes at 1 track power off at 1. More info call Mark at 330-588-2167.

As of now,doors will open at 3pm and Mark has said he will stay open later than the usual 9pm closing time. I will talk to him tommorow to see if the opening time will change. Bill

Talked to Mark today,doors will open Friday at 1 pm. If you are there at 1:05 pm and the doors are still not open,call 330-588-2167,when he gets downstairs in his cave he loses track of time. Bill

Hats off to Mark, he always goes out of his way to accomodate the traveling racers, opening early, staying late! Thank you Mark, these extra things you do is appreciated by us all.............

I'd like to say THANK YOU to all involved that put this fine event together ! Great time was had & some very close racing was observed. I personally ran Can-am & F-1 only, we didn't get finished till around 7pm & stockcars was just beginning when we left. It may be much later before we see any information....
