Uncle Sam gave me some free money yesterday, so I gave some to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, some to The Red Cross, and some to Slotblog.

 

Also I bought some online gifts for my family. And some new Hakko tips for me.

I've been a subscriber for a few years and, up until today, didn't realize that anyone who is a member, but not a subscriber, isn't able to get Email Notifications when something is posted to a topic or forum that is of particular interest to them. 
 
In other words, (and correct me if I'm wrong) non-subscribers don't see the "Follow this topic" of "Follow this forum" buttons.

Fair enough question. I'd just be guessing if I said "I don't think that's correct". But the Navy taught me to never guess at something that can be verified.

 

I suggest simply finding a poster who is a "Member" send them a PM, and ask them. I'm pretty sure a "Member" can receive notifications same as a "Subscriber". You go to your settings and fiddle with the "Notification" choices.

 

I could be wrong. Let us know what you find.

Dale, as far as I know, that behavior is not linked to whether a member is a subscriber or not. Let me check into it and I'll reply back to this thread.

Earlier today I asked a "Full Member" (but not a subscriber) if he could see the "Follow this forum" button on the FSCS forum page and he said he couldn't.

Ask a different "Member." It may simply be operator error.

I just called my racing buddy John Clow. He is a "Full Member" and he sees "Follow this Forum" in FSCS.
 
But the member has to be logged in to see it. Is your friend logged in?
