One of the drag racers at Downriver Raceway in Lincoln Park Michigan has built a couple of drag cars that have hard body convertibles with a sidewinder configuration but the motor is in back of the axle in order to get the full interior in the car. I have never seen that done and I thought it rather clever.

Well-executed and it shows. I'm sure the new owner will be very pleased. Thanks for the kit reviews too, the info is good to know.
I love these cars from the Kookie '60s era. Have you ever done the Ghoul Duo's Munster Coach or Dragster?
I have a Boothill Express that I've often dreamed of making into a slot car too.
Another favorite of mine is Elvira's T-Bird (which was recently restored on the Counting Cars TV show). Not '60s, but just as cheekie.
