Power is by 36D with an arm marked as "BOW S36". The comm looks to be neutrally-timed so I could put the drive gear on either side.
The rear "pillow blocks" are actually a cut-up Russkit item. I needed them to be strong fore and aft but side-to-side will not be a problem with the motor carriage in place.
The motor carriage tilts with motor torque. The reason for this is not to be revealed at this time...
The pivot point is the rear axle and the oilites are the actual bearing surface for pivoting. The oilites also trap both the motor carriage and the rear axle "pillow blocks" in place.
Since the rear wheels are smaller than 1" dia, an idler gear was needed for this build otherwise the spur gear would touch the track when the tire wore down just a bit. The idler is mounted in a scratchbuilt cage mounted by two L-shaped wires. The wires are the adjustment if needed, by heating with an iron and moving slightly with a tool until correct mesh is achieved. It actually works very well and the axle and motor spin quite smoothly.
Production has ceased due to lack of a body. As soon as Howmet or Gene or whoever is vacuum-forming that COOL Bat Car body… then I can get ’er done!

If I may suggest a little tune up for the 36D for those who do not have access to BOW arms:
it's quite easy to find a Classic or Monogram "6Volts" arm on Ebay which, by itself, is already a nice improuvement over the standard 36D and if you're lucky to also find a 700 series Champion can with shim and Arco mags (they often come without Champion sticker) you can get a great motor with lots of braking and acceleration. I've tried both solutions and I'm very happy.

Jairus;Ah.... YEAH!!!
I measured the Bat Car height, it is 1" , which is very common with the Shinoda style bodies (TSRF can confirm this for sure).
Yes, there will be a 1/4" draw down plate added to the bottom of the mold, but you will see a line around the clear shell.
If you really want to cap this chassis with a Bat Car, you can lay your chassis on the side and trace around it (include the tires also) and mail it to me.
I will do a body modification to suit and send you the plug, and maybe Ray can pop you a few.
That's the best I can do.

1" is perfect! Chassis is 3-1/16 wide with a 3-15/16" wheelbase. I think it will fit "as is", so no need to go to any extra trouble. Please let me, and the world know, when bodies will be available. as I would like two please!
Thanks. Max and Edo!

Well I am trying to do a good job .
I really like your original Shinoda collection, very nice and complete.
Would you happen to know if the small Gull Wing body and the Arrow body are the same body?
Can you tell me the length of that body? Or could you send me a penciled outline )foot print)?
That little car body can rock and roll with the correct set up.
Glad to see your site back up and running, looks very nice.
Take care;

Progress!
The BatCar body was received from Gene yesterday. I cut and mounted it on the chassis this evening…
Also, I have been called a compliment hound over on OWH soooo if you want to add a response… Please make it critical from now on… OK?
Thanks, guys, I knew that I could depend on you.

I gotta put in a plug in for Steve at Foster's. He has a bat car body patterned after the Batman movie. Saw it today in his museum. toytechracing.com.Mini Bat 1/32 and Bat 1/24 by Gene Adams, ready to be repopped:

(You should've brushed off that little bit of dust on the rear of the body before you photographed it... )I have been called a compliment hound over on OWH soooo if you want to add a response... Please make it critical from now on...
Looking good. Hope to see the paint-on soon.
