And who pays for it? It is a lot of work. Consider us Luck that Noose steps up to the task.

Tony is 100 percent right men....theres tons of work Noose does we never know abut...and ALL of the men that organize, donate there products, donate there time and help do everything so we can race are very rare.....it really pissses me off when people bad mouth the very few that make this hobby exist..lets dont drive them off like they do out west men.....Someone with the "want to" will step up one day and do race reports ..lets just wait for that guy to come along....

Personnally id like to see an online "RETRO NEWS" place ..but then again who's gonna take the hours to run it.....we all [including me] wanna play but donating our precious time seems to not be there.
Men after last week at the fall brawl all of us that attended realized just how far this has come..lets keep it going! The vibes in that raceway were crazy..everyone so wrapped up in the moment....the old days are back men ,its real and its happening.

So you say this, then turn around and say this in the next breath:

..lets dont drive them off like they do out west men.....

Hip, you know nothing of what happened, or what is now happening, "out west", so please don't start with this junk again. Take it to your private group on Facebook if you must.

Better still, come out and race here and see how we do things, then see if you still feel the same way.

We did what had to be done to save retro racing out west, and for the most part, it worked.

Thank you!

Mike P. , I feel your pain.
I have often wondered why, at some races, it seems to take 3 days for race results to be posted.
However, at the "quality" events, the results are usually promp.
In this particular case, obviously the storms had a negative impact on the timeliness of the reports.
You can't blame anybody on this one......Mother Nature was in control.....

As far as "stepping up to the plate", well, I did exactly that, I invented, promoted, advertised, and made an IRRA Rules event, happen. It all went off without a hitch. Here is the link:
http://slotblog.net/...-montgomery-al/
Heck, I even predicted the weather, Howie, how do you like me now ?
Some big names showed up, including Bud Greene, John Clow, Jay Gaurd, Greg Wells, and others.
The results were posted the same day. I planned the photography and it was easy.

Why others cannot do that, apart from Mother Nature, I can only say they are lazy.
Sorry.

P.S. The track owner received all of the entry fee profits, minus the trophy and the plaques.....in typical IRRA fashion, as Greg Wells taught me......

When we had ANE AMCA scale racing, prior to ISRA, we had racing all day Saturday, read the race report by Sunday afternoon. The race promoter insisted on this type of schedule, even though it meant he wrote most of the race reports. :)

Gentlemen, I didn't mean to upset everybody. I just was curious as to what was happening. Watching an internet video feed is not an option here at the Patterson household. I appreciate Frank posting a link to the results.

I also fondly remember Rob Walker's F1 race reports in Road & Track. Those were the days...

I am not a doctor, but I played one as a child with the girl next door.

All of the results are om the speedzone website and were posted at the conclusion of each days racing.Noose has to get caught up with his real life and he will write up another of his excellent. Reports. Time brings good things to those who wait.

The Speedzone website did indeed show the actual race results almost immediately after completion. Really good job from Mike, Jay or whoever took the time to keep us up. Also the videao was so far of the best quality I have seen on a live stream of a slot car race. :)

So kudos to Speedzone, and be patient for the long non-electrified Noosester, thanks to a nasty storm and slow recovery of the evil J.P. Morgan power grid... :D

One must also remember that those great race reports back then were written, or typed, with dead lines days even weeks away. This allowed much more thought and literary crafting enabling those bygone reporters to develope the storyline.

Today's instant communication doesn't really cater to the free(lancing) writers of today. So like I remind some- patience is a learned virtue.

That's what little wes gets for being naughty... :laugh2:

I met a guy who was Mormon and had a large brood...actually forgot one of the kids when they left a hotel. A half hour later they figured out one was missing and went back to the hotel to find the kid happily bouncing his ball around in the stairwell.

True story!

Worse: he may have carried him on the roof inside the dog's cage.
It costs a lot to do something like that.

I have a similar story where my Mother-in-Law left one of my sisters-in-law behind at the picnic ground at the lake when she was a baby. The woman who was holding the baby when she returned to pick her up stared a hole in her! Today they would have called child protective services....it really is a funny story to hear Mom tell it!

True story!

My wife's younger sister got left behind on a vacation at a rest stop for about 1/2 hr.

Not Mormon, Catholic, but still with 9 kids.

I'm surprised one of the siblings didn't figure it out right away, with having more elbow room in one of the back seats. LOL.
