I see only four 2013 wing car races at Buena Park Raceway. I wonder who will race at the Western States race next weekend? Are we going to allow giant hub tires at all of the 2013 wing car races?

That's right guys, the days of our monthly racing program have come and gone unfortunately. Hopefully we can produce some full fields in the small season this year, and keep our fingers crossed that things get better

Why do some find it necessary to bag on slot racers--wing racers or not--their our brothers! I wish them well and hope they can revive their racing program--it's tough in this economic climate.  But I hope their able to grow their races as soon as possible. Let's go racing and encourage others-- let's show our support--not our disdain.

I agree with Tim we are all slot racers why do you guys have to try to talk crap on us because of our entries we do this because we enjoy to do it.

Well guys I have posted 2 times guess you have missed them, I am planning the BP500 this year. I have scheduled the Falcon Class (any Falcon style motor may be used, as we don't know when we are getting any Falcons) and the 27 Lites on Sat. Oct. 5, 2013. The Falcon class will be in the morning and the 27 Lite will be after lunch. We expecting a great turn out as the OC Register will have an article coming out in the Friday paper featuring the Buena Park Raceway. We will be having also that day a LMP and GT-12 race. You will be able to see people you have not seen in a great while. So come and join in the fun.

Josh wanted me to talk to you about this as he has not been in the wing car loop for awhile. As of rt now there are no wing races scheduled for 2014. There might be a few races popping up like Western States or something. Many racers are off doing stuff with their friends and family this time of year and so the Boola Bash was switched to a retro race this year.
I do not know what it would take to get wing racing back. We have tried .500 hubs, OMO, TMO, spray glue, etc and nothing has worked to gain interest. So as of rt now all I can say is stay tuned for races in 2014.

Thanks for the response. It is unfortunate because I think there are a lot of racers out there if we can keep a consistent program. One of the projects I have been working on is Single Radial Cobalt mags for G7, G12 and Euro-sport. This would be a much cheaper solution to the multi-mag Cobalt setups. If anyone is interested in this approach let me know. Singles are very easy to build and the radial design does not fall off as much as the mult-mags do over multiple heats. We have had quite a bit of success with the C-27 Radials and this is the next step. I would be happy to discuss this with anyone who has an interest. Please let me know
