Less than 2 weeks till race #7 @ Chicagoland. Hope everyone can make it.

Thanks for posting.

 

The South Bend guys are coming in first thing, this Saturday morning, for an approx. 3 hr. testing session.

 

The track will be at 13.5 V Retro race power, and I'll keep off rental cars, until my birthday party at 2 PM.

 

Also, barring any shipping snafu, I'll have a fairly unique, new Retro oriented item, in by the race on the 20th.

Parties aren't scheduled on either track on any race day.

 

The birthday party is tomorrow.

I am sorry but I won't be there due to having to be in Las Vegas for work.  I apologize to everyone for not being able to be there, but this trip came up Thursday and I could not pass it up.

When driving to this weekend's event at Chicagoland Raceway, please avoid Belmont Ave near the METRA Rail underpass.
 
Chicagoland Raceway is on higher ground and is not expected to be affected by the spring rains and flooding.

As you probably know, that's by your buddy, Paul Zimmerman.

 

It's not a way someone would normally come to the track unless they were very local, coming from the North.

 

Regardless, I have a feeling that will have receded by Saturday.

 

Things are fine by the raceway as of a few hrs. ago.

 

While looking out the window earlier, I was surprised to see a black Ferrari California parked across from the Subway (no pun intended), across from me.

It looks like we should have a special guest racer tomorrow from North Royalton, Oh.

Steve Koepp from Parma did make it.

 

There was about 17 guys in the raceway at about 8:10.

Austin Milcherska Wins C-Main.  

 

Austin is a fifteen year old from South Bend, In.  He built his own car...Scratcbuilt.....Not from a kit.

 

P J Baltz also makes the move-up to the B Main.

to stay real close to the head.
