Team Nutley's Winning Eastern Chassis:

The Sidesaddle Sidewinder

Story by Mike Tango, Chassis by TonyP.

as published in Car Model magazine - October 1968

This race winning chassis dates to May 1968, although the article was published in October. An early design based on a two piece motor box, it is fairly sophisticated for its day in that two of the main rails, one on each side, wrap around the sides of the motor box, greatly enhancing the overall strength of the chassis. In addition, there are piano wire braces across the joint where the motor box and main rails are joined.
