He better.

Rumor has the flat track being the happening race this year, no motor issues, no esses, even Noose and Ralph talked about giving it a whirl.

Cap,

My flat track is not real hard.

Ralph was awesome on it, his first year, even with the esses.

Wow, I just tried to walk out of my office after reading this thread and my head wouldn't fit through the door, LOL.

Seriously though Cap, that's pretty much the only flat track I've raced on, it just takes laps and a little bit of practice. Don't let it scare you. It should be a blast this years with no esses.

Mike, IIRC those were Alan Reeder cars that year, and they were pretty awesome. I was a flexi racer gone rogue in my first year of Retro.

That was when you had to earn enough points to qualify for the "Shootout" race, that was a cool idea IMO.

I hope that question means you plan to join us, Mill. :)

Swiss's flat track, like most flat tracks, is a motor equalizer. In fact, I won the Can-Am race last year with a TSR.

The GTC coupe race is a hand-out FK for a newcomer to the Sano such as yourself. All about the set-up there.

I've plenty of very good, legal refurbs for the F1 and Can-Am King races I'd be more than happy to set you up with. :good:

Flight booked for Sano 7. Cap can't be most handsome, after all that's my Retropallooza nickname.

Cap, I think Mike maybe a little partial cause you kinda looked like a younger Swiss when you had all that hair. LOL. Sorry, Cap, I take that back, that was a low blow. LOL.

With Cap's daily consumption rate of Hostess and Tasty Cake products, chalk one up for the bad guys then. LOL.

Hmm, that's odd, Nancy says I'm the best looking guy in slot racing.

And I'm sure my daily consumption of Hostess products would make Caps look a light midnight snack.

Dave and I will be arriving on Wednesday, decided an extra day of practice wouldn't be bad for my first Retro outing of the year!

FWIW, we race Deathstar and Falcon 4 Cheetah 7s on Wednesday night on 12v, on the King, from about 7-9:30.

You guys are welcome to run your Retro cars.

They'll be pretty similar in speed.

I just wouldn't run anything you have a deep emotional attachment to. LOL.

My Wednesday night regulars did a nice job breaking the lanes in.

Howie ran a 4.61 afterwards on blue and I think Cap got it down to 4.63 or 4.64.

Probably more impressive was Cap's 4.74 on black and Howie going a 4.70 with his F1.

Thank you, Mr Swiss.

Should be unless I run into a snag.

It won't go on probably until race day (Friday).

Howie took advantage of me running out for a burrito and popped out a 4.59 with his C/A and a 4.68 with his F1.

Mike,

I would be nice if you started streaming video today for those of us on the outside looking in just to see who is showing up and what we are missing.

I came back from picking Ralph up at the airport and plaques at my house, and there are about 18 guys here.

Matt already has a 4.466 on green with his Can-Am.

FWIW, he TQ'd Can-Am last year with a 4.486.
