Man Jairus , You really nailed this.
I have worked with the artist known as Jairus on a few builds now and am fortunate to own several of his cars .
I cant wait to run some laps on my local track here in Connecticut with "The Rooster Tail".
Whenever I bring the thingies to the track (both vintage and contemporary customs), along with other vintage rides,the thingies draw crowds of kids and adults.
The excitement has resulted in free track time and countless questions about where to get one of these things.
A lot of nostalgia and memory from the older guys (remembering Classic and Dynamic stuff) but primarily THE KIDZ GO WILD FOR THE THINGIES.
Frankly I am baffled that the THINGIE REVOLUTION has not hit harder at most of the tracks here in the US.
I know , apples to apples limits the unlimited classes from gaining traction , BUT, if the response from the younger set is any indication regarding the future of slot cars,
The thingies win every time.
The kids are begging mom and dad to GET ME ONE OF THOSE FOR MY BIRTHDAY.
Remember , a good number of the kids at the track are there for birthday parties , and I cant tell you how many times Ive heard the request for the coolest car on the track.
