I'm not a math whiz... If I use a pair of .765 jig wheels for my fronts how much clearance will I have under the chassis???

That depends on the type of chassis you use and how high you solder the axle supports.

It depends on what size tires you use.

What ever tire diameter you use, take 0.765" away from it, then halve it to find the clearance.

So if you were to use 0.865" dia tires, minus 0.765" = 0.100" difference, divided by 2 = 0.050" clearance.

Seeing that 0.100" is the difference of the diameters, you need to find the difference of the radii, so you halve it to get 0.050, which would be the clearance.

?? as opposed to square all the way around?
Crown gears are not equal distance from the axle all the Wyoming around. They do not have to be perfectly round because the teeth are on the side of the gear and most are not . Spur gears have to be closer to perfectly round because the teeth are on the outside of the gear

I was referring to Retro fronts which are mandated @.75 diameter... clearence under chassis varies... .050 for Stockers & .015 for canam & F-1
